Rule changes impact continuing education requirements, including:
đź’ˇContinuing education exclusively developed and delivered by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) or APTA academies and sections is automatically approved and accepted to count toward licensure renewal requirements. No specific Ohio approval number is needed.
đź’ˇPresentations by a current member of the PT Section or Board staff on the topic of public protection can count as continuing education credit for PTs and PTAs
đź’ˇPTs and PTAs can receive continuing education credit for completion of modules of the Healthy Practice Resource Tool - a free tool designed to support the well-being of healthcare professionals. Each module counts for one hour continuing education. PTs may earn up to four hours per renewal cycle. PTAs may earn up to two hours.
