APRIL IS STRESS AWARENESS MONTH!
Below are some tips or ways you can help lower your stress and anxiety levels.
Deep Breathing: Practices such as Box Breathing (inhale, hold, exhale, and wait for 4 counts each) or the 4-7-8 method can quickly trigger the body's relaxation response.
The 3-3-3 Rule: A grounding technique where you name three objects you see, identify three sounds you hear, and move three body parts to refocus in the moment.
Progressive Muscle Relaxation: Involves tensing and then releasing different muscle groups to physicalize and discharge stored tension
Sensory Engagement: Using the Five Senses (e.g., listening to music, smelling essential oils, or looking at photos) can rapidly shift the nervous system away from a stress state.
If you enjoy the great outdoors, now is a good time to go for a walk or hike. Go to the nearest strip pit and go fishing. Whatever helps you unwind.
