Welcome to my newly revitalized page. This is one of my favorite poems and today in the Midwest, it's a beautiful fall day. It's a perfect day to step outside and meditate with nature. To find some solace from the busyness and stress of the world by immersing ourselves in the Peace of our natural world. If you'd like to meditate with me and our meditation community, join us on Tuesday nights 7:30 to 8:45 at Saha yoga Cooperative. This week is a good week to meditate!
“When despair for the world grows in me
and I wake in the night at the least sound
in fear of what my life and my children’s lives may be,
I go and lie down where the wood drake
rests in his beauty on the water, and the great heron feeds.
I come into the peace of wild things
who do not tax their lives with forethought
of grief. I come into the presence of still water.
And I feel above me the day-blind stars
waiting with their light. For a time
I rest in the grace of the world, and am free.”
Wendell Berry - The Peace of Wild Things.
Albert Edelfelt - Woman on a Pier, 1887.
