In this fast-paced world, stress has quietly become a part of our everyday lives. We talk about being stressed at work, burned out from responsibilities, or being overwhelmed by the constant demands of life. Yet many of us rarely pause to understand what stress really means for our well-being.

Stress is the body's natural way of reacting to pressure - it can keep us alert and focused in small doses, but when constant or unmanaged, it can lead to exhaustion, anxiety, or harm our overall well-being.

Every year, National Stress Awareness Day, observed on the first Wednesday of November, serves as a gentle reminder to slow down, breathe, and reflect on how stress affects both mind and body.

Gratitude is not always easy. Sometimes it is not the sunshine moments we are thankful for, but the cracks that let us grow. Some seasons, gratitude does not sound like "thank you" - it sounds like "I made it through." It is finding small light in heavy days, and still choosing to notice what stayed when so much fell away.

This Thanksgiving, we are learning to hold gatitude not as perfection, but as presence - even when it hurts, even when it is quiet.

Take time to write about what gratitude feels like, not just what you are thankful for. How does it show up in your body, your thoughts, your relationships?

🧠🎃 Intrusive thoughts can be scary—but they are actually totally normal! Everyone gets them; it’s just your brain being a brain. 👻

If they start feeling constant, distressing, or take over your life, it could be OCD—and that’s something worth getting support for.

You are not alone in the spooky world of thoughts. 👀🕸️

Myth: ADHD is just an excuse for being lazy.

Fact: ADHD affects motivation, executive function, and focus - it is neurological, not a character flaw.

This ADHD Awareness Month, we are breaking down the myths and bringing real facts forward.

🌿 OCD Awareness Week 💚

OCD isn’t just about fears or habits — it’s a quiet storm inside the mind. Some days it’s heavy, some days it’s lighter. But every day, there’s courage in trying again. Living with OCD means learning to breathe through uncertainty, to find peace in moments that used to hurt.

If you’re in the middle of it — please know, you’re doing better than you think. You’re not alone, and your strength is seen. 💚

🌎💚 World Mental Health Day 2025

When disasters strike — from conflicts and floods to pandemics — they disrupt lives in ways we can see and in ways we cannot. Behind every headline is a person carrying invisible wounds: fear, grief, anxiety, and loss.

This year’s theme, “Mental Health in Catastrophes and Emergencies,” reminds us that recovery is not only about rebuilding homes and roads — it’s about restoring hope, connection, and well-being.

Communities are strongest when we lift one another up. A kind word, a listening ear, and timely support can help heal hearts and strengthen resilience. By standing together, we can ensure that no one faces the aftermath of crisis alone.

On this World Mental Health Day, let’s renew our commitment to care for ourselves and for our neighbors. 💚

Today is National Depression Screening Day! Feeling off lately? You are not weak. You are human! According to the National Institute of Mental Health, an estimated 21 million adults in the United States experienced at least one major depressive episode in the year prior to 2021 — that’s over 8% of the adult population.

Your mental health is just as important as your physical health!

Fall is cozy... and crazy busy! From school runs to holiday prep, our thoughts can get as scattered as the leaves. Take some time to reflect to help organize your thoughts and priorities. Typically, our highest priorities and values can find their way to the top of the list when we take the time to reflect.

Take it one task at a time! You've got this! Try to enjoy the beauty of fall.

We were honored to be part of the Sound Choices Gala last night — a powerful evening celebrating life, support, and the impact we can make together. Events like this remind us how much stronger we are when we come alongside one another in service, compassion, and care.

Thank you, Sound Choices, for all you do!

Grief can shift everything - your body, your needs, your sense of self. It may feel disorienting, even unfamiliar. There is also an invitation to listen more closely to what your body needs.

Grief often asks us to slow down, relearn how to care for ourselves with tenderness and honesty. It is not about what you think you should need, but what your body is asking for.

Take a breath. What is your nervous system needing right now?

More and more, we are seeing psychology terms being misused and misrepresented on social media and in pop psychology. We can probably all relate to the misused versions, and that is the point! Pop psychology is an oversimplified version of psychological concepts made popular through media we digest - books, social media, TV, and some podcasts. Think therapy buzzwords without the full context.

We wanted to provide some actual psychological context to some of the buzzwords you might be using or hearing about! Now you can know when they are being used correctly.
