It is great to see the AdventHealth Polk staff out in our community.

The Rotary Club of Tryon was excited to have Rotarian, and AdventHealth Polk Vice President, Jared Keresoma participate in the Reading is Fundamental program at Tryon Elementary School yesterday. To help encourage a love of reading in the students, Jared read a portion of a few books to the classes and then helped students select books to take home.

Last week The Hospital Foundation in support of AdventHealth Polk hosted our first Wellness Walk & Talk of 2026. The group heard from Scott McDermott, AdventHealth Polk's Director of Therapies, and then walk the trail behind the hospital. The trail has eight stations to provide a full exercise routine.

Small acts of compassion can make a big difference for our patients.

Please help us celebrate Pam Bradley, LPN on the Medical - Surgical unit, for receiving the Service Excellence Award for Love Me.

Pam recently cared for a patient who was experiencing growing frustration when her hearing aid stopped working. After learning the patient’s hearing doctor was away on vacation and the issue could not be resolved through the office, Pam took it upon herself to help. Using her own money, she purchased new hearing aid batteries and installed them so the patient could hear again.

Pam’s thoughtful act immediately eased the patient’s distress and restored her ability to communicate with the care team. Her compassion and willingness to go the extra mile reflect the very heart of our Love Me service standard.

Congratulations, Pam, and thank you for caring for our patients with such kindness and dedication. 💙
