Devastation after devastation during these 2 years. With all the increased stress and loss of resources, here is another devastating loss. I saw so many hard working and effective mental health care and equity workers lose their jobs or programs close due to funding cuts related to DEI. Here we go again. This is so dangerous for us as a society. My heart goes out to all the workers who are supporting our community and all the community members who are losing support.

The Trump administration sent hundreds of letters Tuesday terminating federal grants supporting mental health and drug addiction services. The cuts could total as much as $2 billion.

Look at how this is called federal dollars and not welfare. 🤔. It's not surprising how the context influences the definition.

Many farmers are pushing for more federal dollars to provide much-needed stability. Others, especially young farmers, are turning away from the government, looking to local networks for assistance.

I think of all the families that don't have the resources to move and how this is going to increase mental health problems. This is heart breaking for the community and their allies
