I have worked for years with people with echolalia, who involuntarily say sounds, words, or phrases. Many are often misunderstood and embarrassed by the way that their body naturally works. This is a horrible way to learn about this condition on the backs of those black actors. As a disabled psychologist who understands that tics are involuntary and are more likely to happen during stressful times, why didn't they remove it from the broadcast? I am happy that this video looked at responses from black people with tics to help us to understand a snippet of their experience.
