At Waunakee, one of our favorite traditions is “Baking with Barb.” 💙

Barb leads this life enrichment activity, sharing her love of baking while residents gather, help, and enjoy something delicious together. From mixing ingredients to taste-testing the final product—there’s a lot of joy in every step.

But this is more than just baking.

✨ This is person-centered care in action.

Person-centered care means we don’t expect residents to fit into a routine—we build experiences around them.
It’s about honoring who they are, what they love, and what brings them purpose.

For Barb, that’s baking. So we meet her there.

By creating opportunities like this, we help:
