We strive to provide the highest quality, scientifically proven client care to the everyday warrior. At Rehabilitation Redefined, LLC you will receive individualized care that is based upon current evidence in the field of physical therapy. Multiple tools will be used including a comprehensive functional movement assessment, trigger point dry needling, joint mobilization, soft tissue mobilization, corrective exercise programming, and strength training in order to help you move better and feel better. My focus is to help you reach your goals whether that be in regards to everyday functioning, athletics, CrossFit, or development of a program to help you continue to strengthen over your lifetime. You will feel better and move better. I am a former college athlete and current CrossFit athlete, so I understand the demands of athletes and what is needed to improve pain and function. I have a strong background in Olympic lifting and programming for strength, endurance, and functional movement. I also work on a more full-time basis with the geriatric population, so I have a strong background in the effects of aging and how to remain strong as you age. My practice is cash-based so that insurance companies are not able to dictate plans of care, and this also allows the opportunity to schedule less patients for longer periods of time. This allows for a much less crowded schedule, which means higher quality of care that is one-on-one with me at each visit. My name is Corey Southers.

I am the owner of Outlive Performance Physical Therapy.

I am a doctor of physical therapy with over a decade of experience in working with clients from every background imaginable.

I have a special emphasis in blending together pain relief and strength training.

I want to help you figure out WHY you aren’t able to do the things you want to do (play with your kids, run, squat, deadlift, CrossFit, etc) without pain, and I work together with you to figure out HOW we can get you back into doing those things without pain and STRONGER than ever before.

I work with pain of any kind - but back pain, shoulder pain, hip pain, and knee pain are my “specialties” in my practice.

If you find yourself skipping workouts or altering the things you’d like to do because of any pain like this, I can help you out!

I see a full schedule of in person clients in my office to work on these pain issues, and I also put a huge emphasis on building the foundation for you to learn how to prevent this pain and handle these issues on your own when they do pop up.

Outside of the office, I offer remote strength training and mobility programs that are designed to allow you to train PAIN FREE and build the strengths and skills that will help you feel strong and mobile in every part of your life.

This is not a cat/cow.

The main difference here is how we are segmenting each vertebra with as much control as possible.

Your vertebrae should move as closely to 24 separate units as possible.

Many times we run into problems in areas that do not segment well - such as the last 5 in the lower back all moving as one big block.

Practice this control a few minutes a day if you’re having tightness in your back - it can be good for any part of the back! Pain free range only on this one!

I run into this all the time.

“My doctor told me I have a bad back.”

Now you get scared of your back.

“My doctor told me I have nerve impingement.”

Guess what - nerves are designed to be impinged all day and still function perfectly fine - that’s the beauty of the human body.

Unless it’s cancer or a progressive nervous system condition or disease process - I probably don’t care what your physician told you that you “have.”

A. You don’t “have” anything. You’re *experiencing* pain of some kind. That is very different than “having” something.

B. Your physician is very likely NOT trained on how to identify causes of musculoskeletal pain and is most certainly NOT trained on how to treat them.

Tell me what you’re experiencing, the behavior of it, how it started, how it affects your life, what helps, what doesn’t help, etc - we can get to the bottom of it that way instead of putting an arbitrary label on it.

Too many times we think it’s either 0mph or 100mph - we forget about those 99mph in between.

This is how it is with an injury or pain with lifting or any other activity.

We need to find those appropriate intermediate steps.

We need to work those.

While we work those, we figure out what is not allowing us to go 100mph.

While we work on those issues, we add a few mph each week to see if it can handle it yet.

You’ll get back to 100mph - just don’t mistakenly think you’ll get there by idling at 0mph for weeks and months 🙃

Athletes focus on recovery. They focus on nutrition. They focus on sleep. They focus on hydration. They focus on allowing their body to heal itself while still finding ways to train and move.

You. Are. An. Athlete.

Whether you’re 50 years old and haven’t ever played a sport or if you’re 20 years old and currently sidelined with an injury, you are an athlete.

The sooner you realize that and focus on doing the things an athlete does to take care of their body, the sooner you’ll make progress.

Athletes also know that progress doesn’t happen overnight. They work on themselves daily to see little bits of progress that add up to big gains over time - while never straying too far from the basics of their foundation.

Please treat yourself like an athlete.
