As Ohio’s high influenza rates continue to rise, CMA member Dr. Mrunal Shah sat down with 10TV - WBNS to discuss rising rates, the importance of vaccination, and tips to stay protected.

“Taking the vaccine protects you,” Dr. Shah shared. “It doesn’t protect you from getting the flu, but it protects you from having a severe case of the flu. It decreases the risk of hospitalization and definitely decreases the risk of death.”

If your patients haven’t yet received their flu vaccine this season, let them know it’s not too late.
