About the Job
Hand to Hand is an Adult Day Center that is a planned program of activities in a professional care setting designed for people with developmental disabilities who require supervised care during the day, or those who are isolated and lonely. Hand to Hand enables our consumers to socialize and enjoy planned activities in a group setting, while still receiving needed health services.
We are currently looking for an Adult Day Program Direct Care Staff that share our compassion, commitment, passion, and reliability to join our team. Staff member must be reliable and passionate about helping our participants in 1:1, and group settings, in addition while in the community. If this sounds like you, upon hire, we will provide all the training and resources to empower staff to have successful relationships with the participants.
We are looking for staff that can help with transportation in passenger vans. No CDL needed. Drivers start at a higher pay rate than non-drivers.
Qualifications:
Staff members must be able to pass a background check and be 1st aid/CPR certified. We will assist with both.
Staff members who are also able to provide transportation will be compensated at a higher pay rate but are required to pass a drug test, must have a valid Ohio driver’s license with no more than 2 points.
HS Diploma/GED.
Preferred experience working with adults that have developmental disabilities but not required.
Program Hours:
9-2pm, M-F (non-drivers)
Drivers are able to work up to 40 hours/week
Home care hours available
Pay rate is based on experience (working with people with disabilities, the elderly, or children). $11-14
We follow all COVID-19 regulations set in place by the state of Ohio and the Franklin County Board of Developmental Disabilities. This includes proper spacing and supplies. We provide training on how to navigate working with individuals while remaining safe and healthy. We provide PPE to all employees and make safety our #1 priority.
