Journey North is thrilled to announce that we now will be occupying space at Independence Village in Columbus! We spent the day meeting new clients, staff, and more wonderful families! We are excited for our future with each of you.

Although we recently chose to not keep office space in Greentree, we are still caring for our clients at Greentree, as we have been for approximately 10 years and we continue to accept Greentree clients! We love Columbus and we want as many people as possible to benefit from our services and to stay as independent as possible wherever they consider their home environment.

We are partnered with Patriot Angels for VA benefits.

I think this is a good time to remind all clients and families that Journey North does not accept referral fees! Therefore, please understand that we are a neutral party and wish to serve you wherever is best suited for you. This is the beauty of us being independent as well and not operating as a chain.

Thank you Independence Village for choosing and trusting us and thank you to our many families all over the county and surrounding counties for doing the same! We DO NOT take it lightly!

At Journey North we have a sense of humor 😆 Mason happened to be carrying out a long tradition of family Halloween shenanigans on his MOTHER'S house when duty called and he had to take an after hours work call to our 24/7 line 🤣 I guess you could say "Play hard, work hard!...at the same time." I'm comin' for ya Mason!!

All of these pics are beautiful in their own way, some are just more obvious! These demo pics probably mean nothing to the general public, but they show the demo moving along nicely and on schedule with the walls opened up for the next phase! 790 Creekview is going to be shockingly gorgeous, but more important is our concept of care. At the end of the day, we know it’s “just a building”, it’s what we do with it and those who choose to live there that makes all the difference. 🥹

After several months of planning, requesting a zone change, working with design and planning architects, countless meetings with German American (thank you Jerrie Posey!), and sound legal counsel with our business attorney, Kevin and I (41 Leasing) have purchased 790 Creekview Dr! This is the future home of TIPTONA COMMONS!!!!!

Tiptona Commons will offer seniors a different concept in quality living.
We believe in an environment full of life, not just in spirit and activity, but also in its living surroundings. Indoor living trees and plants, herbs grown on site by residents and staff to use in FRESH meals. Imagine a place where seniors take pride in and tend to indoor and outdoor garden spaces. Flavorful well balanced meals where food is purchased fresh and local and dining truly is an experience. Dining happens in the restaurant “Eugene’s Place”, where a hostess will seat you and provide you with mocktails or cocktails for a restaurant style dinner. Enjoy evenings out on the patio with frequent live music and entertainment! Tiptona Commons will have 15 specialty suites and is proving a new concept in senior care. For me, there’s never an honor any higher than when a family or childhood friend trusts you with the care of those they hold the dearest. I think Jaye and I go back about 35 years. Months ago, when I received her message about her father, my heart broke for her. I was very honored to walk a very tiny portion of her journey. We were entrusted with much, just as we are every time you let Journey North in to care for your loved ones. I just want to publicly honor his legacy (this is with his daughter’s permission). What I’m sharing is what his life was about. He was kind to his caregivers and warm and welcoming, but Mason was gifted more from him than we could ever do for him. One day, as Mason was leaving and they were exchanging their “see you laters”, this man was selfless and prayed for Mason. That is an act that lives on far beyond our earthly days. He was pouring into a young person one last time. Well done good and faithful servant. Rev. Paul D. Mooney
