First Step Recovery Center was founded by individuals who want to bring together their collective knowledge of patient-oriented care. Our overall goal is to provide the tools and support needed for each of our patient’s success. We are a compassion based medicated assistance treatment program for opioid and op**te dependency. We have been open since September 2015 with a goal of providing a higher level of care.

Good Morning Everybody :) We (First Step Recovery Centers of Central Ohio) hope all of you are doing well. We have a few issue's that need addressed immediately, if not sooner. Our clients are trying their hardest to change their lives and we know it. Sure there are some rough edges that we will continue to work on, but with what is going on in Waxhington D.C, we need to address their basic needs. Most are determined to change their lives... but being hungry shouldn't be a part of the equation. I sent out a request for all of us to participate in a food drive yesterday. I immediately got a response from The Villa Nova Restaurante in Columbus, Ohio. In this message they offered gift certificates to be raffled off at the food drive. They are an amazing supporter of our change efforts. Please follow their lead and help us... help ourselves. I almost preach about how not feeling alone is a huge contributor to/in recovery. Let's show them they aren't alone... If you got it, give it. If you don't help find someone who does. Share this post and let everyone know we care. I had a Brother and a Mother both die from the disease of addiction, we don't need anymore. I will add a Venmo link to donate if you can't make it to the event in person. Good Morning Everybody :) We here at First Step Covery Centers of Central Ohio have the privilege of seeing a transformation from what was, to what should be. This morning I was scrolling through some reels like I always do each morning, I came across something so profound that I kept listening to it over and over again. I never heard this before... "Let me see beneath your beautiful. Let me see beneath your perfect..." I can't explain why a tear rolled down my face, but it did and it felt amazing. About the 20th time it dawned on me... it's about being vulnerable. I could feel it in their voices, by the end I allowed myself to hear them say it's okay to not be beautiful or perfect, what really matters is what is on the inside. Part of the healing process is looking in the mirror and liking what you see. Today was the day!!! We went on our annual Hocking Hills/Old Man's Cave outing. We couldn't have asked for a more beautiful late October day. Here are some pictures of all the smiling faces. I do want to thank the staff from all three facilities Marion, Lancaster, and Reynoldsburg for all their hard work today, and every day for that matter. Good Morning Everybody :) We at First Step Recovery Centers of Central Ohio encourage and applaud Self-determination. This refers to a person's ability to make choices and manage their own life. Being self-determined means that you feel in greater control, as opposed to being non-self-determined, which can leave you feeling that others or other things control your life. We try to enable each individual the opportunity to discover their own happiness, not our idea of what happiness looks like for you. Good morning again... I wanted you to meet one of our many outstanding clinicians here at First Step Recovery Centers of Central Ohio ... Donivan S., He is a seasoned LCDC III, that has a passion for recovery that I can only hope spreads like a wildfire through all the halls of addiction. He has been in our field for well over 10 years, he has held many positions. Donivan was meant to be a counselor... If you see him work with people afflicted with addiction, it only affirms that some people are just made to be counselors. He is one of the brightest stars at our Reynoldsburg location. Thank you Donivan for doing what you do, you help change lives and that is exactly what our mission is about at First Step Recovery Centers of Central Ohio. ❤️
