🇺🇸 A Hero’s Salute at New Albany Care Center & Cranberry Park 🇺🇸

Today we were honored to welcome Beth Johnson from Honor Flight Columbus as she joined us for A Hero’s Salute in recognition of our veterans.

New Albany Care Center is proud to be home to a World War II Veteran, and we were deeply moved to celebrate his service and sacrifice.

We were also joined by Navy Veteran Rick Cullison, who took his Honor Flight in 2021. Rick graciously spoke about his unforgettable flight day and the meaningful memories he made during this once-in-a-lifetime experience.

Thank you to all our veterans for your courage, commitment, and service. We are grateful—today and every day. 🇺🇸❤️

🌟 Lifelong Learning in Action! 🌟

Our Activities Department recently accompanied two of our residents on an exciting trip to tour the Ohio Statehouse in downtown Columbus! This visit was part of our Lifelong Learning Project, created to help residents explore and learn more about the great state they call home.

During the tour, they discovered fascinating facts about many notable Ohioans, including Ulysses S. Grant, John Glenn, Neil Armstrong, former Governor Taft, and current leaders Lieutenant Governor Jon Husted and Governor Mike DeWine.

As they explored, they also reminisced about how much Downtown Columbus has grown and changed over the years — a wonderful reminder of how both our state and its people continue to grow and thrive.

It was truly a day filled with learning, reflection, and Ohio pride! ❤️🤍💙

❤️💙 Today, we honor and give our heartfelt thanks to all Veterans. ❤️💙

We would like to recognize our Activity Director, Jessica, and our Dietary Manager, Steve, for going above and beyond in creating a meaningful day of appreciation. The event featured a wonderful meal, an engaging guest speaker who provided valuable insight, and a special musical performance by Gene, one of our regular entertainers and a proud United States Air Force Veteran.

Thank you to all who served and continue to serve. Your courage, sacrifice, and dedication will always be remembered. ❤️💙
