LONG DAY …..Dr appt. Where we were surprised to find out that next appt on 26th they plan to start the outpatient chemo. Which means hotel for 3 days as 1st chemo on 26th than 2nd chemo on 28th. We are both upset that not gonna be able to attend the Benefit 😢 but Pete’s health has to come first. Things could still change depending on Bone Marrow Biopsy results. Than we waited about 2 hours to get the Biopsy done and he did great. Now back upstairs to get Blood 🩸 Transfusion done as some of his counts were low. I also got to do and hang his IV antibiotics as it was also time for that. So….. now we wait like 2 hours. Nothing like driving home in Columbus Rush hour traffic🤦‍♀️. Keep them Prayers coming our way🙏

UPDATE: Pete is doing well at home. Walking around alot more. Oxygen when needed. Still very weak and IV antibiotics every 8 hours for another week. Big day monday as have to go back to OSU for Bone Marrow Biopsy. Prayers for safe travels and good results. 🙏

At Lima appt for Blood check and Dr visit and all counts good no Blood Transfusion needed today. Yay!!!

UPDATE: Pete is doing so much better now that he’s Home! He is still super weak and tired. It’s been hard to rest when days are filled with Home Health visits, oxygen delivery, phone calls from sooo many places needing to set up so many different things. Tomorrow we go to Lima for Blood draw and Dr visit there. Than Zoom call with OSU. Week after back to OSU for dreadful bone marrow biopsy. Following week back again to OSU for visit with Dr Blachly to set up the outpatient chemo he will need before transplant. Not to mention IV antibiotics every 8 hours. We both just need to find time to rest and heal. Again I am asking to keep us in your Prayers 🙏 🧡

Hey everyone! I’ve organized a meal train to help my dad and Kim out while he continues recovering. As many of you know my dad absolutely loves to cook but unfortunately that’s not something he’s easily able to do right now. If you’d like to help by signing up to bring a meal, it would take a huge weight off their shoulders during this time. We just ask that meals are dropped off to me at my house or to Kat at the AMVETS, since he’s still recovering and limiting visitors for now. We are so thankful for the continued love, prayers, and support you’ve all shown our family. It truly means the world to us. 🧡

We’re so happy to share that Pete is finally home! 🧡 While this is a big step in his recovery, he still has a long road ahead and needs plenty of time to rest and heal. At this time, we are kindly asking that there be no visitors for now while he continues recovering. We appreciate everyone’s understanding as we focus on keeping him comfortable and allowing him the time he needs to regain his strength. Thank you all so much for the continued prayers, love, and support you’ve shown Pete and our family. It truly means the world to us.
