Obituary For Jason Bradley Leber
Jason Bradley Leber

June 29, 1960 – November 14, 2025

Born in Prescott, AZ

Jason (Jay) Leber, 65, passed away peacefully at home, November 14, 2025, in Colusa, CA

Jason was the husband of Myra (Wayman) Leber and proud father of Kolby Michael Leber and Kent Wayman Leber.

He was the beloved son of Nancy Leber-Madison and Don Leber.

He leaves behind wife Myra, married for 45 years, and sons Kolby Michael Leber and Kent Wayman Leber. Mother, Nancy Leber-Madison, siblings Ann Randleas, Julie Leber, Jeff Leber, brothers-in-law Tom and Don Wayman, sister-in-law Kay Armstrong, many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and his favored Aunt Kitty Smith.

He was preceded in death by his father, Don (Karen) Leber, paternal grandparents Rude and Miriam Leber, maternal grandparents, Gordon and Fay Koch, his uncle Cam Smith and in-laws Jim and Barbara Wayman.

Jay was born in Prescott, AZ in 1960, moved to Mt. Vernon, WA in 1962 and to Seattle, WA in 1963. In 1964 his family moved to Fortuna, CA where he attended Kindergarten. In 1966 he started first grade and graduated from Colusa High School in 1978. In 1980 Jay attended Shasta College in Redding, CA where he met his wife, Myra.

Jay had a love for life that was infectious, whether he was fishing or Polaris trekking at the sand dunes on the Pacific Coast, or exploring with friends at Laughlin, NV and Oatman AZ. He always looked forward to the friends and family’s annual Christmas tree cutting adventures. Some of his favorite memories were with family at the Wayman cabin on Willow Creek, in Adin, CA.

He was a man of many skills and interests, which included building his “famous” BBQ barrels, assisting his sons and friends during destruction derbies. He assisted coaching for Colusa County Cowboy Football and Colusa Little League teams during the years his sons were playing. He was a self-taught mechanic, machinist, welder, and electrician and enjoyed teaching his craft to friends and his two sons. The family joke was he could not saw a board the right length given he was left-handed and continuously cut on the wrong side of the blade. He was banned from family carpentry projects where he might have to a saw a board, however, put a welder in his hand and he could build anything. He enjoyed shopping for random treasures at the Marysville Swap Meet and would bring his purchases home to refurbish or gift to a friend. Jay was quite the trivia expert with actors, actresses and cars and was a die-hard Miami Dolphins fan. He worked 30 plus years as a Mill Wright at California Family Foods in Arbuckle, CA and was greatly appreciated by the company owners and his co-workers. He retired in 2021.

Jay had a generous heart, quick wit and a knack for making everyone laugh. He was known for his practical jokes and teasing, especially his nieces and nephews, and unwavering dedication to those he loved. He was organized, detail oriented and took great pride in doing things the right way.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jay’s memory to Colusa City Fire Department.

Relatives and friends are invited to his Celebration of Life, Saturday, December 13, 2025, 11 A.M at the Arbuckle Golf Course, 5918 Hillgate Road, Arbuckle, CA 95932

Obituary For Clay Edward Jones
Clay E. Jones, 76, of Maxwell, California passed away peacefully at home on November 10th, 2025. He was born on March 2, 1949 to Giles Jr. and Phyllis Jones in Colusa, California. He was joined by his sister Celeste on the same date just two years later, sister Charlene joined the family 2 years after that. His parents divorced, and a few years later he welcomed his Stepfather, Avery Harris and subsequently a baby brother Clint Harris.

Clay attended Maxwell Schools where he excelled in all sports. After his graduation in 1967, he enrolled in Yuba College where he pursued his education in Criminal Justice, but that was interrupted by the Vietnam Conflict so he left college to enlist in the Army. He trained at Fort Gordon, Georgia as a Vet Tech and Dog Handler which earned him his Military Police designation and special friend and companion “Lart”, his sentry dog. They were deployed to a Hawk Missile Base in Korea until his honorable discharge. In 1971 he returned to Yuba College and completed his education in Criminal Justice.

At the age of 23 Clay was accepted into the California Highway Patrol, where his career took him to West L.A., San Francisco (as a Motorcycle Officer), Oakland, and finally close to home at the Williams California Office. He was always a very proud wearer of badge #8151.

In 1979 he met his future wife Kathy Spann, he found out that she was a girl from Williams that he had met years earlier through a family friend. After striking up a conversation they decided to date and a year later they married and settled back into his hometown. Their 45th Wedding anniversary, though never quite reached on November 15, 2025, seems quite a milestone. Daughter Stephanie was born in 1981, and grandson, Yousef was presented in 2015.

Clay was an avid hunter, fisherman, marksman and gun enthusiast. Just ask him and he’d always have a story! San Francisco Giants, Golden State Warriors and the 49ers were always his passion, but he made exceptions for his friends’ favorite teams.

Clay is proceeded in death by his Father, Giles Jones Jr., Stepfather, Avery Harris and Mother, Phyllis Harris.

He is Survived by his wife Kathy, of Maxwell, CA; Daughter Stephanie Alhourani and Grandson Yousef Alhourani of Orland, CA. Sisters; Celeste Azevedo (Tim) of Maxwell, CA, Charlene Cain (Donn) of Willows, CA and Brother Clint Harris (Ginger) of Sutter, CA., Nephews: Kyle Word, Jonn Cain, Colton Harris, Auston Harris, Patrick Azevedo (Nikki) and Jeremy Azevedo (Cheri). A very special thanks to Niccole Purcell for her unwavering love, hope and care; to Jim Lausten for “showing up” even when not summoned, and to our dearest Jeremy whom without his strength, support and humor the family might have simply collapsed.

FAMILY WISHES THAT EVERONE ATTENDING WEAR THEIR FAVORITE TEAM LOGO GARB: NBA, NFL, NHL or MLB. Donations to the Maxwell Fire Department and/or the American Legion would be appreciated!

Obituary For Rozetta Roberts
Born on December 22, 1941, in Hanna, Oklahoma, to Maude May Hightower Stone and Milton James Stone, Rozetta Roberts entered into rest on October 5, 2025, surrounded by family and the love she spent a lifetime cultivating.

Rozetta was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 50 years, Gary Lee Roberts. Gary and Rozetta met at church. Their love story began during a double date, with different partners. Halfway through the evening, the girls decided to switch dates—and that simple, spontaneous moment was the beginning of a lifelong partnership filled with devotion and shared faith.

She is survived by two daughters, Mary Lou West and Chris Roberts, son-in-law David West, and three granddaughters: Janelle Friesen, Kayla Garrett, and Cierra Abella. Rozetta was a proud great-grandmother to Eva and Leia Friesen and James and Patrick Garrett. Her legacy continues through them—each a reflection of the love and values she instilled.

Rozetta’s Civil Service career began in 1966 at Sharpe Army Depot, where she was hired during the height of the Vietnam War. Starting as a shipping clerk—“because the Army must’ve been desperate,” she would say with a smile—Rozetta helped supply everything from tanks to machine parts. Through perseverance and dedication, she rose through the ranks, ultimately retiring as a Supply Systems Analyst at the Tracy Defense Depot in 1999 after 33 years of service. Her work took her to military bases across the country, where she trained others on new supply systems.

In retirement, Rozetta found joy in her greatest calling: being a grandmother. She loved having her grandkids nearby and never missed a chance to spoil them with affection, encouragement, and snacks.

Family was Rozetta’s heartbeat. She cherished every relationship—whether near or distant—and spoke often of her mother, siblings, their spouses, nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, and cousins. She made it a priority to teach her children and grandchildren the importance of knowing their roots. Her most treasured memories were of the annual family reunions—first at Uncle Homer’s house when she was a child, and later at Lake Tahoe and Pinecrest as she raised her own family.

For over 30 years, Rozetta was a faithful member of Delta Nazarene, later known as Horizon Christian Fellowship. She joyfully served in Wee Worship, volunteered in the church office, and had a special tradition of bringing treats for the little ones who sat near her on Sunday mornings. Her quiet acts of kindness and faithful presence touched many lives.

Rozetta lived a life of purpose, service, and deep love for her family and faith. She leaves behind a beautiful legacy of generosity, loyalty, and unwavering devotion.

Graveside Service for Rozetta will be held Saturday October 18, 2025, 10:00AM at Colusa Cemetery, Colusa, CA.

Memorial contributions in Rozetta’s honor may be made to:
