Food For Thought:
Why my business is focused around "Injury Rehabilitation & Wounds VS "generally healthy maintenance sessions".

1. Wounds and Injuries' are what keeps my fire alive. There is either 100% proof my treatment plan is working or proof it is not. There is no objective opinion's on wondering if the patient has improved it's very straight forward.

2. I have worked in emergency animal care since 2015 I actually enjoy working with owners at their most vulnerable time. All secrets are out and the cards are on the table. This is when the owner vet and myself can create a team like no other.

3. I can not control the amount of disagreeing with owners on if their saddle fits properly, their riding style is not working for this patient, the patient is conformationally going to be predisposed to reoccurring issues, patient is not physically fit, rider is not physically fit, they need a new farrier, they need to see a vet...So many variables are responsible when working with a "Generally healthy horse".

4.There are way more healthy animals in the world than injured. This made me feel hopeless and constantly behind because I couldn't help them all nor be in 100 places at one time. This decision helps me create a secured constant environment where each patient gets 100% of my attention and never has to sacrifice for the lack of time in one day.

Day 4 Modality day. The day of hard core researched backed evidence really helps quite the noise. It’s like playing MythBusters all day. Unforgettable. Ranch Fuels finally showed up 3 days late can’t wait to not have Starbucks again.

Day 3 is complete 💪 Manipulations, evaluation presentations, Anatomy (everyday)

Day 1 complete with distal limb anatomy dissection, lameness exam and neurological exams.
Loved my “expired coggins shirt” from Ranch Dressn very fitting with a room full of vets. And definitely how the brain is feeling EXPIRED.

Down to 1 horse in the barn as the days our closing in on school and I couldn’t have asked for a better patient during crunch time.

Fun Fact: This horse is the very first horse I ever brought home for rehab 4 years ago (2 months out of Acuscope training) when I meet his mom at a barrel race and she made the gut wrenching decision to send him home with someone she had just meet for 5 minutes and it has been a relationship I truly cherish ever since.
He has been here for pre-surgical prep for 3 months we will drop him off for surgery when I leave and be there to pick him up on the way home for his post surgical program. My patients and clients are family.

I would like to highly encourage anyone who might have heard of or thought of hiring someone to come work on their equine companions to STOP 🛑 watch and turn your sound up! to truly listen to the static one electrode offers versus the other.
This is not a post to stab at anyone person, or to embarrass anyone still using the old brass plates. (Yes they were the best on the market at one time)
This is to show potentially paying customers that the manufacturer has updated and tested the new technology of surgical stainless steel, which is readily available to anyone choosing to make the right move and upgrade their equipment to ensure they are providing the safest, most efficient treatment.
