Our Gurwin Assisted Living residents came together to “Light the World Teal” in recognition of Alzheimer’s Awareness Month!

With creativity and compassion, they crafted beautiful teal and white beaded bracelets, painted ceramic magnets, and enjoyed teal-themed snacks and drinks — all in support of raising awareness for those living with Alzheimer’s and their loved ones.

At Gurwin, we’re proud to stand united in spreading awareness, hope and understanding. Together, we can help shine a light on Alzheimer’s.

A Real Who Done It, Old Sport!
It was the bee’s knees at Gurwin Jewish - Fay J. Lindner Residences as our Gurwin Assisted Living residents and staff stepped back into the Roaring ’20s for a Gatsby-themed murder mystery!

Feathers, fedoras, and flapper flair filled the room — and our staff (or should we say actors) did a swell job bringing the mystery to life. The night was the cat’s pajamas, old sport — full of laughs, intrigue, and a dash of glitz and glam!

Our Gurwin Assisted Living residents had a wonderful time connecting with Ocaria from the Commack Public Library during our “Meet with Your Librarian” program! She brought along a great selection of books and shared all the exciting resources and programs the library has to offer.

Our new residents even signed up for their very own library cards. What a great way to feel right at home in our community!

We’re so grateful for this partnership with the Commack Public Library and look forward to many more visits.

🎉 Exciting News! We’re proud to share that The Townwide Fund Of Huntington has chosen to support the Gurwin Jewish - Fay J. Lindner Residences in 2025! Their generous funding will go toward updating and renovating the community’s theater room, creating a more comfortable and engaging space for our Assisted Living residents to enjoy.

A heartfelt thank you to the Townwide Fund of Huntington for their continued partnership and commitment to our community!

Autumn Olympics 2025 at Gurwin Jewish - Fay J. Lindner Residences! Our Assisted Living community lit up the spirit of the games with an Opening Ceremony worthy of champions — complete with our very own torch relay to kick things off!

From high-flying volleyball volleys to slam dunks on the basketball court and precision shots in Shoot the Puck Hockey, our residents gave it their all in true Olympic fashion.

To keep our athletes and fans fueled, we served up power snacks, fresh fruit smoothies and oat protein balls. Perfect for mid-game energy boost.

Yesterday, Gurwin Jewish - Fay J. Lindner Residences came together for a joyful Simchat Torah Celebration with the wonderful Ari Leshanes! Our residents enjoyed fabulous music, delicious snacks and plenty of smiles as we celebrated this special occasion together.
