Please wear your costumes next week! 🎃

Clients are encouraged to come to their sessions in costume. We’ll be practicing our communication skills with a mock trick-or-treating activity around the office. This is a fun way to work on greetings, conversational turn-taking, social interactions, speech articulation, and language skills.

We had a great day at the National Stuttering Association’s 1-day Michigan Conference. It was so impactful to listen to different people’s experiences with stuttering. It was such an honor to present on the shift in speech therapy away from fluency and toward communication. Our main takeaways are:

💜It is ok to stutter
💜Let’s focus on what is being said instead of how fluent someone is
