🌷 Spring is blooming, and so are seasonal allergies. 🤧

If your child is having irritating nose and eye symptoms, breathing difficulties or skin allergies, consider these tips:
💡 Stay informed: Check local pollen forecasts regularly so you can plan outdoor activities when pollen levels are lower.
🌿 Limit exposure: Reduce contact with allergens by keeping windows closed during high pollen days and limiting time outdoors when counts are at their peak.
💨 Use air purifiers: Running an air purifier at home can help remove pollen and other allergens from the air.
💊 Take medications as directed: Over-the-counter allergy medications, such as antihistamines or nasal sprays, may help manage symptoms. Follow directions or talk with a provider about what’s best for your child.
👩‍⚕️ Visit your healthcare provider: If allergy symptoms persist or worsen, schedule an appointment with your child's healthcare provider to discuss treatment options and long-term relief.

A Trailblazing Partnership

Regional non-profit health center, Carevide, and Commerce ISD have joined forces to offer school-based health services to Commerce ISD students. Located at the Family and Community Engagement Center behind Commerce Middle School, the health center is open on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:00-5:00.

The center offers immunizations, treatment for chronic and acute illnesses, well-child exams, school physicals and more. While Carevide accepts private insurance, Medicare and CHIP, services are available to all Commerce ISD students, with or without insurance. Medical staff are provided by Carevide, a non-profit health center offering family medical, dental, pediatric and women's health services, with locations serving Greenville, Bonham, Cooper, Farmersville and Kaufman.
