Ive Markovits founded Penny Lane in 1969, after working as a probation officer and struggling to find adequate treatment facilities for teenage girls, especially those who were a bit more challenging than others. Ive’s - and Penny Lane’s - passion for social justice is continuing with Embracing Identities, a program designed to increase support for LGBTQI2-S youth ages 16-25 and their families.
