Well done to our wonderful dining team!

Over the past year we have been planning and preparing for our Taylor Glen Life Plan Community dining renovations to be complete and to open the new venues by Thanksgiving. We were fortunate to beat that deadline by a couple weeks! The team has been fantastic — they are prepared, enthusiastic, and dedicated to providing exemplary customer service.

They successfully rolled out two new restaurants and a new point-of-sale system — and without missing a beat, the team rose to every challenge with professionalism and teamwork. The leadership within the dining team has been both evident and deeply appreciated.

A special thank-you goes to Eric Nooe and April Weddington for their leadership and commitment in helping make this rollout such a success.

Last night we celebrated at Taylor Glen with a Fall Festival/ carnival with games, s’more, Hot Apple Cider and Trick or Treating. A great time was had by all.

Friday was a busy day, we started the day off with a trip to Christmas in the South, tea and coffee at 10:15 and our special spirits and cheese on our pool patio, a beautiful day to be out side. Thanks Jim Cooper for the wonderful entertainment.

This week we celebrated our October birthdays!

What a beautiful day for a trip to West Jefferson, NC. We visited two beautiful little churches to see the Ben Long Frescos. I want to thank our tour guide Ann Peters for the wonderful tour of both churches and the mission hall. We are thankful for you allowing us to have lunch in the mission hall. And your knowledge of the churches and Frescoes was so welcome, we learned so much on our trip we can’t thank you enough. St Mary’s and Holy Trinity are absolutely worth the trip and the view from the mountains is amazing.

Today we took a few of our elders out to eat fish! We made a stop after to get frosties for all! We are on the go here at Taylor Glen and having the time of our lives!

This week Amanda and I took a few of our elders to the pumpkin patch. We also stopped for coffee and donuts and finished off the morning with a ride through the country! We had so much fun! Thanks to Amanda for driving!
