Be the Change Physiotherapy

Be the Change Physiotherapy Physical Therapy owned & operated business. Established to target individuals who truly value their health. Orthopedics. Pelvic Floor Health. Postpartum

Be the Change Physiotherapy is a Physical Therapy owned and operated business established to target the individuals who truly value their health and physical abilities and want to live their lives to the fullest at maximum activity potential.
•This includes healing from any musculoskeletal injuries including but not limited to shoulder pain, back pain, hip pain, knee pain, foot/ankle pain, and pelvic floor dysfunctions whether acute or chronic rather than simply covering the pain/symptoms.
•The goal of our business is to find the source of the problem and treat the source, rather than covering the symptom.
•Our goals is also to give YOU the tools you need to speed up the healing process so you can return to the daily activities, exercise or sport of your choice. •We also want to provide the tools you need to maintain your gains without being required to seek continual care or treatment 3x a week.
•Our goal is to save you money by giving one on one care so you will require less visits to meet your goals.
•We do not want you to simply “do your exercises” but rather integrate your treatment plan into your current exercise routine and advance you.
•We are considered out-of-network because that means we can provide patients with the care they want and need rather than what the insurance dictates can be done.

Let’s Welcome Dr. Lauren back into the clinic after giving birth to her second little girl on July 31st. She has loved being home with her family but she is also excited to be back in the clinic. 💪🏼

Dr. Lauren is back this month and able to take on some new patients.

If you missed her bio from before, here’s a little bit about her:

Lauren is a Concord native who’s first exposure to exercise was with her dad in their garage gym growing up. Exercise has always been an important part of her life which is one of the reasons why she chose to pursue her DPT. She is married and has 2 daughters and spends much of her time outside of work with family and friends. She loves to be active and other hobbies include music and traveling.

Lauren received her B.S. in Human Biology at North Carolina State University where she also assisted the athletic trainers working with the football team. She took a few months off from school to participate in mission work overseas and then went on to attend the University of South Carolina to earn her Doctorate in Physical Therapy. Lauren has been working for five years in outpatient orthopedics treating various musculoskeletal injuries as well as post-operative patients.
📄She is certified in Dry Needling through the American Academy of Manipulative Therapy as well as Manual Therapy 1 and 2 through Maitland Physiotherapy. 🙌🏽Lauren has also completed Advanced Training In Pelvic Floor Therapy with Herman and Wallace Institute and has been pursuing more continuing education in orthopedics for TMJ dysfunction and for the pregnant and postpartum athlete. 🤰🏽
Lauren joined Be the Change Physiotherapy in December of 2024 and has loved getting to treat patients one on one in the cash-based setting.

To all of our mamas and families that have gone through pregnancy loss and the fear of losing your rainbow baby, we see you.💕 Our hearts are with you especially during pregnancy after loss awareness month. We understand it can be such a psychological battle of especially fighting fear of losing this next precious life.
We understand this can cause a lot of trauma and refer our patients to seek mental health counseling from professionals.
