ADVOCACY NEWS: Thanks to you—and efforts by AOTA and others—Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan (BCBSM) will begin covering Ayres Sensory Integration® (ASI) techniques, under CPT code 97533, for individuals with autism starting March 1, 2026. ASI is an evidence-based OT intervention used to support participation when difficulties with sensory processing/integration affect self-regulation.

This 5-week social group session is designed for kids who are ready to strengthen teamwork, flexible thinking, and real-world social skills through hands-on, collaborative challenges.

From building epic forts to tackling group missions, participants will practice:

We’re so excited to officially launch our Social Connection, Recreation & Community Participation offerings. We’ve seen such a need for safe, welcoming social spaces — not focused on behavior correction, but on regulation, connection, and belonging.
