Today we’re celebrating Melissa for Administrative Professionals Day! 💐

Melissa is the Practice Manager at Concord OBGYN. She is the heart beat of our office—warm, friendly, and always approachable, while setting the standard for professionalism every single day. She keeps the tone calm no matter how busy things get and handles chaos with a steady, reassuring presence. She says "Good Morning!" to every single staff member every day and always has a huge smile on her face. She genuinely cares about each staff member and goes out of her way to make everyone feel seen and appreciated. Melissa puts out "fires" to make the workday feel smoother for everyone, she does it all with ease and grace. We are so grateful for everything she brings to our team. We appreciate you so very much!

Happy National Doctor’s Day to our Dr. Shikha Goel — Dr. Goel came to us in 2021 during COVID. That time was full of anxiety and uncertainty, but she was a beacon of light and warmth for our patients. She is a busy mom of two sweet and wild little girls, has the greenest thumb you’ve ever seen (seriously, you should see her peonies!), a Harry Potter super nerd, an incredible cook, an encyclopedia of knowledge when it comes to anything OB/GYN related, an absolute BOSS when it comes to women’s health care advocacy.

Recently, Dr. Goel helped deliver our Medical Assistant, Jackie’s newest nephew. Dr. Goel supported Tori through out her pregnancy and helped her achieve the birth of her dreams. “Shikha is not only an incredible doctor but a dear friend who brought both of my boys into the world 🥹🩵 I’ll forever be grateful to her for guiding us through two of the most beautiful days of my life!” Picture 4 is Dr. Goel, Tori and baby Teddy.

Happy National Doctor’s Day to our Dr. Christina Thomas — Partner at Concord OBGYN, A Boston Magazine Top Doctor of 2026, Menopause and Perimenopause Queen 👑, insanely busy mom of three incredible kids, Yorkie enthusiast, hockey team mom, Swiftie 🫶, a physician who never says “no” when it comes to her patients, staff, friends and family, a girl who regularly has 28-32 patients scheduled and will always add JUST one more in need.

She responds to Christina, Chris, CT, Homegirl, Queen or Mother at work— never Dr. Thomas. Mother was her given nickname by some of the staff because of her never ending guidance, kind heart and always showing how much she cares. She has delivered so many COG staff and Emerson staff babies that we have completely lost count (Picture 4 has just 7 of many❤️) She’s laughed with us, she’s cried with us, she’s been with us through some of the greatest and hardest moments of our lives. There isn’t a text or call at 3am she won’t answer. Even when she’s so exhausted, she never ever stops!

Happy National Doctors’ Day to our Dr. Richard Rubin— Partner at Concord OBGYN, Boston Magazine Top Doctor for the past NINE years(!), incredible father to 4 wonderful kids, ultimate dog dad to Loki, expert sandwich maker, marathon runner, and passionate chocolate lover.

Dr. Rubin’s father was an OBGYN in NYC where he grew up and inspired him to follow that legacy— “My father was a doctor. He set an example for caring for his patients as if they were family. I have always felt honored to follow in his footsteps.” The senior Dr. Rubin retired in his 90s and we wouldn’t be surprised if our Dr. Rubin did the same.

He is the most passionate women’s health care advocate. His patients are like family to him. He is a wealth of knowledge and always spends extra time (such to the Medical Assistants dismay 😉) making sure his patients understand and feel comfortable with their care. An appointment with Dr. Rubin is never rushed and he approaches each patient with so much empathy and kindness. He is rarely not smiling, but if he isn’t, we can leave a piece of chocolate on his laptop and it does the trick 😆

Thank you for being you Dr. Rubin!! We are so grateful for all you do every single day.

Today we celebrate Dr. Travias. Partner at Concord OBGYN, Chair of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Emerson Health, ultimate girl Dad, captain of the dungeons and dragons club, the real “Superman”! 🦸🏻‍♂️

Dr. Travias always has a smile on his face, even on his wildest days; with surgery, back to back patients and meetings, shuffling his kids to their activities and whipping up some incredible dinner for his family. He always gives his patients and staff his full attention and time. He loves to teach and really loves sharing his passion for women’s healthcare with others. He makes his juggling act look easy. Did we mention he’s a black belt? 🥋

Happy National Doctors’ Day to the amazing physicians in our office. Every day this week, we will be highlighting each one of our five incredible doctors.

We see firsthand the long days, the late nights, the missed family dinners, and the constant dedication you give to your patients. You show up for women during some of the most important, emotional, and vulnerable moments of their lives — and you do it with compassion, patience, and incredible skill.

Thank you for the lives you bring into this world, the comfort you give during difficult times, and the care you provide every single day. Our patients are lucky, and so are we. Thank you Dr. Bond, Dr. Travias, Dr. Rubin, Dr. Thomas and Dr. Goel!
