Join us in congratulating our newest Licensed Funeral Director, Charlene Copley!
Charlene joined the Hartsell family in 2017. She knew at a young age that she wanted to spend her career helping others. She started out in Home Health Care (10 years) supporting families and their loved ones in the final years of life, showing compassion, and and treating them like her own family. After joining us, Charlene found her true calling of helping families with final arrangements for their loved ones and helping with the grieving process. We are proud to have her as part of the Hartsell team.

Audrey M. Sterka, age 92 originally from Downers Grove, IL passed away peacefully April 16, 2026, in Concord, NC. Mamaw gets the first tomato every year. These days the tomato is from our greenhouse, and was picked about four days earlier than last year. Sorry, we don’t have enough tomatoes for everyone else, but this is always the sign that they’re coming!
