An exciting way to end the month with a delightful visit from local young pianists that performed some spooky tunes for us on Wednesday evening (dressed in their best costume attire!); followed by a busy Friday as we ventured out in the morning to the Monet “Immersive Experience” art Exhibit in Worcester, and then celebrated Halloween in the afternoon with lots of sweet treats and some very exciting costumes!

After completing a very successful and meaningful Sense of Purpose Project, Concord Park will now start searching for our next community initiative. We are proud to have been a part of Emerson Hosital’s “Rainbow Project” where we donated over 20 handmade (knitted, crocheted, or braided/tied) rainbow colored baby blankets to give to mothers who had given birth to a Rainbow Baby (a baby that’s born after a previous baby loss due to miscarriage, infant loss, stillbirth, or neonatal death. The name “rainbow baby” comes from the idea of a rainbow appearing in the sky after a storm, or after a dark and turbulent time.) 🌈 💗

It was an interesting and fun afternoon with the Nature connection earlier this month when they brought the theme of “Sensory Rainbow of October” to our Compass neighborhood. With an array of gourds and pumpkins to share—both dried and fresh—along with colorful veggies of many hues, traditional fall scents—cinnamon, nutmeg and allspice-; vibrant fall flowers and two guinea pigs, residents were able to feel encompassed by the beauty of autumn.
