ARES WEEK 9 — IT’S GO TIME 🔥 (AND BRING A FRIEND WEEK!)

This is Test Week — the moment where all the work you’ve put in finally gets measured. Strength. Power. Gymnastics. Engine. Big benchmarks, real numbers, and proof of progress… plus the perfect week to bring a friend and show them what we do.

What’s on deck:
• Heavy lifts all week — Power Sn**ch, Front Squat, Bench, Split Jerk
• Gymnastics tests that don’t lie — max strict pull-ups, 100 TTB for time, wall walk volume
• Iconic conditioning pieces — Engine Room, Open 25.3 re-test, Higher Ground
• Finish strong with Load Management — heavy, controlled, and confident

How to attack the week:
• Come in ready to test, not guess — log everything
• Warm up with purpose and build smart
• Pace with discipline so your numbers actually mean something
• Stay composed in the long workouts — calm breathing = better results

Bring a Friend Week:
This is one of the best weeks to introduce someone to our community. We’ll help them scale, coach them up, and make sure they feel welcomed — while you get to show off the culture, coaching, and energy that make this place special.

🌟 MEMBER OF THE MONTH: CHAD 🌟

This month, we’re celebrating someone incredibly special to the CrossFit Cabarrus community — Chad.

For 7 years, Chad has shown up. Not just when it was convenient… not just when motivation was high… but through every season, every schedule change, every challenge life threw his way. His consistency isn’t loud or flashy — it’s steady, dependable, and inspiring in a way that only true commitment can be.

If you’ve ever shared a class with Chad, you know the kind of presence he brings. The quiet determination. The willingness to put in work with zero excuses. The humble attitude. The small moments of encouragement that go unnoticed by many but mean the world to the person standing beside him.

His results speak for themselves — physically, yes, but more importantly in character, confidence, and the example he sets for everyone around him. Chad is proof that showing up consistently over time changes everything.

Chad, thank you for trusting us with your fitness journey for almost a decade. Thank you for being part of the heartbeat of this gym. And thank you for reminding all of us that success isn’t built in one big moment — it’s built in thousands of everyday choices.

Thanksgiving hits a little different this year

Not because of anything flashy….just a real appreciation for being able to do what we do every day. Coaching, training, building something that matters, and watching people get a little better week after week

Grateful for the work, the routine, and the purpose this place gives us.
And grateful for everyone who chooses to walk in and put in the effort….no hype needed

📣 CFC FAM — READ THIS BEFORE THANKSGIVING 🦃💪

Let’s talk SCIENCE for a second… because a lot of people are stressing over one big meal this week.
You don’t need to. Seriously

Here’s the truth ⬇️
Your body doesn’t gain fat from ONE DAY.
Fat gain comes from a consistent calorie surplus over time — not from enjoying Thanksgiving dinner with your family.
If you’ve been training, staying active, and showing up for workouts…
👉 You actually earn a high-calorie day.
Your muscles store more glycogen, your metabolism is higher, and your body uses those calories better than you think

So instead of stressing… eat the food you earned.
Enjoy it. Be present. Then get right back to work with us on Friday and Saturday.

CrossFit is way too much cardio.”
Cool… except half our members PR’d their squats and deadlifts last month.

“CrossFit doesn’t focus on form.”
Right… because we only coach movement patterns all day, every day.

“CrossFit doesn’t build strength.”
Tell that to the moms deadlifting 225 and the dads squatting 315 before work.

“CrossFit is a cult.”
If cheering for each other and actually knowing people’s names is a cult… then sure, pass the Kool-Aid.

“CrossFitters try too hard.”
Guilty. We try hard at getting better, supporting each other, and putting in effort. Tragic.

“CrossFit is too intense.”
Intensity is relative. A beginner’s version looks different than an advanced athlete’s.
Nobody here is doing the same workout the same way ….that’s the point.
