Advocacy is an important part of advancing our mission.

Recently, CEO Don Holloman and Chairman Robert Freeman represented Cabarrus Rowan Community Health Centers (CRCHC) during a legislative visit in Raleigh, advocating for the continued support of Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs).

During the visit, they also highlighted the regional impact of CRCHC, showcasing how our health centers expand access to high-quality, affordable care and strengthen the health of communities across the region.

FQHCs play a critical role in ensuring patients and families receive the care they need, regardless of their circumstances. We are grateful for leaders who champion the importance of community health and continue to advocate for the resources that allow organizations like CRCHC to serve our communities.

Yellow Room Chronicles: Meet Mehari Chufun, FNP.

When Mehari Chufun was in high school, visits to hospitals showed him something that would shape his future. There were too many patients and not enough providers. That experience inspired him to pursue a career in medicine.

Today, Mehari serves patients on our Mobile Health Unit, bringing care directly into the community and approaching patient care with a holistic mindset.

Outside of work, he enjoys trying new foods and watching stand up comedy, because laughter can help reset the mindset after a long day.
