United Medical Transportation Services- Wheelchair Transportation United Medical Services (UMS) provides Basic Life support (BLS) service through out the bay area. UMS transports patients to dialysis, hospital discharge.

Transporting patients to dialysis, hosptial discharge and much more. Basic Life Support care requires medical monitoring by a licensed EMT-Intermediate and may include monitoring vital signs, oxygen and IV therapy. The BLS Ambulance is equipped with state-of-the-art equipment including an automatic external defibrillator, blood pressure monitoring equipment, pulse oximetry and oxygen delivery devices. A minimum of two basic emergency medical technicians (EMT's) staff our BLS units. This level of ambulance service is designed for non-ambulatory, stretcher bound patients who do not require sophisticated medical therapy while in transit.
