Thank You for Celebrating with Us!

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our Earth Day Spring Fling! From refreshments and hands-on activities to our creative wall garden of paper-crafted plants, it was a wonderful way to welcome the season together.

This social activity, hosted by our Community Choices team (Community Bridges’ direct provider program), was all about connection, creativity, and community. We’re so glad you were part of it!

Join this opportunity to help inform the future of home and community-based services (HCBS).

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) is hosting a virtual listening session on May 19 (1:30–3:30 PM EST) to gather input on a new Medicaid option created through recent federal legislation.

Why it matters:
This legislation offers a new waiver option that could allow participating states to provide support earlier, helping people access services based on need rather than an institutional level of care and stay connected to their homes and communities.

Whether you’re interested in learning more or sharing your perspective, all are welcome to participate.

Staying informed matters.

The American Network of Community Options and Resources recently shared a response to remarks made by Robert F. Kennedy Jr. regarding home- and community-based services (HCBS).

Their statement highlights concerns about how these services—and the people who rely on and provide them—are being discussed at the national level. HCBS play a critical role in supporting independence, community connection, and access to everyday life for people with disabilities, while also supporting families and the workforce.

We encourage our community to stay informed and remain engaged in conversations that impact services, supports, and opportunities for people in our communities.

🔗 Read the full article here:

The undervaluing of HCBS demeans the very real, complex, and difficult work that caregivers—whether paid or unpaid—provide.
