This week, we had the pleasure of celebrating a fond farewell and retirement for our Human Resources Director, Terry Burnett.

Throughout her time at Community Bridges, Terry played an instrumental role in shaping a positive workplace culture, championing staff appreciation, and helping strengthen our recruitment efforts — including the recent ads seen on television and across media outlets throughout New Hampshire.

Her dedication to supporting staff helped build a stronger organization and a more connected community. We are grateful for the care, creativity, and leadership she brought to Community Bridges each day.

Please join us in thanking Terry for her many contributions and wishing her all the best in this next chapter!

HB 1688 proposes changes to New Hampshire law that would expand when restraint can be used in schools and treatment settings and modify the definition of seclusion.

Advocates worry this could lower standards of care and create more opportunities for misuse. Everyone deserves to be treated with dignity and kept safe—especially children and people with disabilities.

Public Hearing Details:
Monday at 1:30 PM
Granite Place, Room 232

Please lend your voice. To learn more on how to be heard, visit https://www.communitybridgesnh.org/call-to-action

Today marks Wear Red Day, a vital part of American Heart Month, which emphasizes the importance of heart health awareness. By participating in this initiative, we not only honor those affected by heart disease but also encourage our community to adopt healthier lifestyles. Supporting heart health initiatives can significantly reduce the risk of heart disease.

💛 Event Update: Lights for Dignity 💛

With heavy hearts, we have made the decision to cancel Lights for Dignity due to the incoming snow and freezing temperatures.

We know how important this vigil is for New Hampshire and for our community. Coming together matters. Being visible matters. Creating space to grieve, reflect, and begin healing together matters deeply to us.

Safety also matters. And after already having to reschedule this event once due to weather, we know this is disappointing. Please know this decision was not made lightly.

We are committed to holding this space together. In the coming weeks, we will be planning a virtual vigil, so that we can still gather, honor dignity, and support one another in a way that is accessible and safe for all.

Thank you for your understanding, your patience, and your continued commitment to justice, community, and care. We will share details soon. 🕯️✨
