The Bureau of Developmental Services (BDS) has released early drafts of proposed updates to several administrative rules related to developmental services. These drafts outline detailed guidance on how services may be provided under:

He-M 526: Designation of Receiving Facilities for Developmental Services

He-M 527: Admission to and Discharge from a Designated Receiving Facility

He-M 528: Conditional Discharge from a Designated Receiving Facility

He-M 529: Transfers Between Designated Receiving Facilities

To give stakeholders a window to share input, DHHS is circulating these drafts before beginning the formal rulemaking process.

Public Feedback Window: Now through January 5, 2026
Send comments to BDS@DHHS.NH.GOV

There will also be additional opportunities to comment once the rules enter formal rulemaking.

SNAP Benefits Update
The USDA has announced it will release $4.65 billion from the federal contingency fund to cover about 50% of November SNAP benefits. States will receive guidance to calculate reduced allotments, but system updates may cause delays in distributing benefits.

October is National Disability Employment Awareness Month!

Our Project SEARCH interns at Concord Hospital are five weeks into their first rotations — gaining confidence, building skills, and showing the true impact of inclusion in the workplace.

From the dish room to Central Sterile Supply, they’re learning what it means to be part of a team and giving back to the community along the way.

Join us in celebrating their achievements and the 80th anniversary of — honoring the contributions of people with disabilities in our workforce.
