Itโ€™s a SPOOKY ๐Ÿ‘ปFriday and itโ€™s still Grateful Friday!

Right now, Iโ€™m so grateful for spaces that are fun and safe for kids. I participated in a ๐…๐”๐ Trunk-or-Treat event this past week, but itโ€™s not just about that. Itโ€™s about the different spaces Iโ€™ve seen created for kids by my supervisees.

The folks I supervise know that if a child doesnโ€™t feel safe or welcome in their office then doing โ€œthe workโ€ will be very challenging.

When you see a child fully being themselves then you know youโ€™ve created an environment where they are safe enough to do that. ๐Ÿ˜

Recognize, Regulate, and Respond.

I mightโ€™ve been all over the place here but the bottom line is ๐ซ๐ž๐œ๐จ๐ ๐ง๐ข๐ณ๐ž ๐ฐ๐ก๐š๐ญโ€™๐ฌ ๐œ๐จ๐ฆ๐ข๐ง๐  ๐ฎ๐ฉ, ๐ซ๐ž๐ ๐ฎ๐ฅ๐š๐ญ๐ž ๐ฒ๐จ๐ฎ๐ซ๐ฌ๐ž๐ฅ๐Ÿ, ๐š๐ง๐ ๐ซ๐ž๐ฌ๐ฉ๐จ๐ง๐ ๐Ÿ๐ซ๐จ๐ฆ ๐ญ๐ก๐ž๐ซ๐ž.

Itโ€™s important to set goals AND after we do that we have to come back to the present to see what our small step toward those goals look like.

Btw, your goals donโ€™t have to be physical (losing weight, gaining weight, getting stronger, getting faster, buying a house, buying a car, etc).

Your goals can include the non physical as well (Communicating more clearly and intentionally, navigating emotions in a healthy way, expressing emotions in general, restructuring your mindset, etc).

Itโ€™s Grateful Friday folks! Letโ€™s get into it.

Having a grateful heart is not an easy thing to have. You have to learn and practice seeing things differently or widening your view daily. That means committing to this practice when things are going well for you and when things are challenging for you.

Iโ€™m not asking you to ignore the unpleasant things in your life.

Iโ€™m asking you to take a moment, settle in, and see more than the unpleasantness around you.

So, Iโ€™m grateful for the chance to be grateful even when hard things happened this week.

Sometimes I need something else or someone greater to support me in places where Iโ€™m lacking.

Here we are with more reflection on this Grateful Friday.

Iโ€™m grateful for the moments I can be alone.

Hear me out!

I love spending time with my loved ones, having fun with friends, talking to people, helping people navigate their life struggles, etc. ๐ˆ ๐ฅ๐จ๐ฏ๐ž ๐ข๐ญ ๐š๐ฅ๐ฅ

AND I love the moments when I can focus on refilling my cup in solitude.
When I do this (have my alone time) I have to pay attention to why Iโ€™m doing it.

Is it avoidance?
Am I struggling in another way?

Or am I truly just trying to refresh and recharge?

So this week Iโ€™m grateful for my moments of solitude. My moments to recharge so I can give my all to the people I care about. โค๏ธ

Different things can dampen hope.
Different things can increase and illuminate hope.

When we attribute failure to ourselves then it stops us from maybe accomplishing other things.

When we leave failure as an EVENT then weโ€™re able to remind ourselves of who we are and move forward.
