• Don’t disappoint people
• Keep the peace

But boundaries are not rejection.
They are clarity.

They protect your energy.
They protect your nervous system.

Meet the Provider: Marissa Strenkert, DNP, PMHNP-BC

Hi, I’m Marissa. I’m one of the providers at The Circle, and I’m truly honored to support women through some of the most meaningful and tender parts of their lives.

I’m a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP), but more than anything, I’m someone who cares deeply about creating a space where women feel safe, understood, and supported. I work with women experiencing anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, trauma, and postpartum or perinatal emotional changes, and I approach each person with warmth, compassion, and curiosity.

At The Circle, I offer therapy and medication management with the same provider, which allows us to build a consistent, trusting relationship. My hope is that you feel comfortable showing up exactly as you are... whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, hopeful, exhausted, or simply ready for something different.

Hello, I’m Misha Houston, Co-Founder of The Circle and a Physician Associate with a Master of Health Sciences. I am dedicated to providing high-quality, compassionate mental health care for women across North Carolina.

My clinical focus includes the evaluation and treatment of anxiety, depression, bipolar disorders, trauma-related symptoms, and postpartum and perinatal emotional changes. I offer integrated therapy and medication management, allowing patients to receive consistent, streamlined care from one provider who understands their full clinical picture.

My approach is grounded in evidence-based practice, thoughtful assessment, and a strong commitment to patient-centered care. I believe in creating a respectful, supportive environment where women feel safe to discuss their concerns and collaborate on a treatment plan that aligns with their needs and goals.
