Sometimes the best weekends aren’t documented perfectly… because you’re too busy actually living them.

This past weekend was mom’s birthday weekend ❤️

All the siblings came in… we surprised her with a trip to a train museum (she LOVES trains)… and a beautiful waterfront lunch that was so relaxing I forgot to take pictures 😆

We laughed.
We cried.
We ate.
We loved.
We talked LOUD (Much to dads chagrin...lol..IYKYK😜)
We memorified. (I’ve decided this is a word.)

And somehow… against all odds… we got my dad laughing so hard he cried... which if you know my dad… you know that is a rare and glorious event 😂 (scroll to see it in all it's glory!)

But really… none of this happens without her.
She is THE GLUE.

My mom is in her 80's… and still runs circles around me.

She raised five kids… has more grandchildren and great-grandchildren than I can count without coffee… loves Jesus fiercely… prays for us constantly… and I’m fully convinced she would fight a bear for us all if necessary 🐻😅

She is strong.
She is fierce.
She is kind.
She is faithful.
She is iconic.

And I’m just really, really grateful to call her Mom.

Some weekends aren’t about productivity or checking boxes…

Some weekends are just about being present and soaking in the people who built your world.

I'm mighty thankful for all of you OG's💞

And I'm so thankful for you Mom!🙌🥰🫶🥹

I went to a local store called Compare Foods and

1️⃣ the produce section?? AMAZING.
2️⃣ the carrots?? borderline intimidating.

I stood there like…

sir… are you a carrot or a small baseball bat.

Another question is there such a thing as buying TOO much produce?
Asking for a friend ...😜

No regrets.
Future me will figure it out.

Honestly though — there’s something about walking into a place full of real food that just resets my brain a little.

Color. Freshness. Possibility.
Like… ok body, we’re doing better this week.
Like, we are going to feel REAL good✨💪

last year was… a lot. i stepped back to breathe, reset, and remember what makes me happy.
