The Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home and Chaput Mortuary intend on upholding a tradition of dependability, service and commitment for the next 100 years. There are many things which contribute to fine funeral service; complete facilities, modern automotive equipment, a variety of merchandise and services. The most important ingredient, however, is people. The Chaput-Buoy family is dedicated to our chosen profession. We combine this dedication with extensive training and skill. We serve our families with the Chaput-Buoy tradition; total commitment. We dedicate ourselves to serve all faiths and families with care, compassion and professionalism. We desire to meet and surpass your expectations attributed to the Chaput tradition. that our calling is one of dignity and importance. We are proud to be funeral directors.
. . that our relationship with those we serve is sacredly confidential and that any personal information which may be imparted to us, or which we may in any way acquire in the performance of our professional duties, must be regarded as inviolable.
. . that the quality of our service must be the same for all who turn to us for help in time of need and are entitled to the most comforting, helpful and considerate service of which we are capable.

There are lots of things in your life that can reinvigorate the wonder, and best of all they're free. For example, the ability to overcome hardships and appreciate what you already have instead of wishing you had more. Or the ridiculous things your dog and cats do, always living in the moment. Or even the way life’s traumas end up making the good times even sweeter. What other priceless things in your life are you sure not to take for granted?

Nuns experience greater physical and emotional well-being at the end of life than other women, and are 27 percent more likely to live into their seventies. How can you follow their model? To start, keep moving. Practice positive emotions. Maintain community. And remember it’s never too early to face death, as nuns typically begin planning their funeral when they retire, or even before.

Every day, you have the opportunity to make new memories happen, and we often take this for granted. Remember, anchors don’t have to hold you down. Perhaps set a half hour every night to “dwell,” then challenge yourself not to dwell before or after then. But when you begin to dwell on the past more than you feel is healthy, ask yourself: why does this memory matter to me? Does it serve me to restrict certain opportunities because they remind me of this memory?

Tell us you are grieving without telling us you are grieving. We'll start:
- Your perfume makes me cry because my Mom wore the same kind.
- It looks like I'm talking to myself, but I'm really talking to my Dad.
- I have a voicemail on my phone that's 5 years old. I still listen to it when I miss my Grandpa.

Sometimes grief hits us unexpectedly. Anything can catch you off guard.
It may be watching a football game with family, a song on the radio, or even a friend's perfume.

Here are some tips to help you cope:
1. Find a place to reflect in private
2. Reminisce about your relationship
3. Focus on the good
4. Allow yourself to feel a range of emotions
