The is available to individuals on Medicaid who may have unmet social needs that impact their health—such as housing, transportation to work, or access to medical appointments.

A significant number of residents in Rockland County rely on Medicaid for their healthcare, and may be eligible for additional support through this program.

Yesterday, TOUCH, as the lead agency for Rockland Community Against Hunger, was proud to coordinate the Rockland County Feeding Our Families event in partnership with local Stop & Shop stores, Telemundo 47 NBC4, and the Regional Food Bank.

Because of this incredible community, neighbors showed up in a big way—shopping with purpose, donating generously, and volunteering their time to help fight hunger right here in Rockland County.

Thank you to every shopper who added a few extra items, every group that organized, and every individual who gave their time! We collected over 3000 pounds of food and hundreds of dollars in donations.

Together, we make sure that no one in Rockland County needs to go hungry.

Through our Food Recovery program and Get Fresh mass distributions, we transform unsold food into a powerful resource that nourishes our neighbors. Waste becomes a resource. Excess becomes access. Surplus becomes sustenance.

This is more than feeding people—it’s strengthening food security and protecting our planet. Together, we’ve kept millions of pounds of food out of landfills right here in Rockland County.

Community health depends on access—and right now, that access is at risk.

TOUCH is proud to support A.6222 (Paulin)/S.1913 (Rivera) to protect 340B savings that keep community health centers strong across Rockland County and New York State.

These critical resources allow our partners to stretch every dollar further—delivering affordable prescriptions, dental care, and essential supports like food, clothing, and housing to those who need it most, regardless of insurance or income.

With pharmaceutical restrictions threatening up to $80 million in lost support, the stakes couldn’t be higher. Our community cannot thrive without these trusted providers.

We urge lawmakers to pass the 340B Prescription Drug Anti-Discrimination Act and ensure health centers can continue providing the life-changing care our neighbors rely on.
