Today we’re proud to shine a spotlight on one of our incredible partner nonprofits, Meals on Wheels of Rockland.

From the very beginning, they’ve been a key member of our steering committee—helping lead and shape our coalition’s efforts to fight hunger across Rockland County.

We’re especially grateful for team members like Dave, one of our dedicated Food Recovery drivers. Through this powerful cross-agency partnership, we’re able to rescue over 1.4 million pounds of food each year and deliver it directly to more than 40 partner food pantries.

This is what community partnership looks like—and it’s what makes our impact possible.

One year ago, we were honored to help celebrate the grand opening of the Regional Food Bank’s new home in Montgomery—and what a year it’s been! ✨

We’re beyond grateful for the impact they make across 23 counties, from the Canadian border all the way down to New Jersey.

Here in Rockland County, we’re proud to serve as their agent—rescuing over 1.3 million pounds of food every year from contracted retailers, and re-distributing direct to over 40 local food pantries.

With food sourced from the Food Bank, we also help coordinate large-scale distributions that reach individuals, families, and local pantries throughout our community that provide hundreds of thousands of pounds more of food.

And it doesn’t stop there—through affordable pantry purchasing, HPNAP grants, education, and more, the continues to strengthen food pantries and communities in powerful ways.

This is what partnership looks like. This is how change happens.

Together, we’re fighting hunger and building a healthier, stronger Rockland County. 💛

Living with chronic illness is hard enough — worrying about groceries shouldn’t be.

TOUCH’s Nutrition Services provides free, nutritionist-approved groceries to our members with chronic illness. Whether you visit us in person to choose your own items, or you’re housebound and need them delivered straight to your door — we’ve got you covered, thanks to our incredible staff and volunteers.
