✨Chin filler✨

Not everyone wants or is ready for a chin implant. It’s nice to have non-surgical options readily available to patients looking to enhance and better balance facial features.

Restylane Lyft was used for this beauty who never had filler before! Placement was all on periosteum. Lyft is my go to here anytime I’m placing product on bone! Another fave of mine here is Defyne, which I’ll use if I need to place some product in a more superficial plane. We discussed the option of adding some more filler in the future, but for now she’s very happy! 🥰

Fotona laser for tighter, smoother, and brighter under eyes!

Check out Dayna’s results! Our sweet aesthetician did 3 sessions and she couldn’t be happier!

We did her last one yesterday so results will get even better than this!!🎉🙌

✨Fotona laser✨

This gem took her pic right after her third laser session. Typically a minimum of 4 are recommended (more sessions for 50+ years of age) and max results come 3-6 months after your LAST session. There is still some work to do, but the results are starting to come through already which is always nice!

Fotona 4D with light peel:
4D combines different laser settings to stimulate collagen and elastin production. You can see her cheeks have some more volume and the nasolabial folds are smoother.

Skin is brighter with better texture as a result of a very light peel. She wants NO downtime - which means can’t do aggressive settings/peels, etc. This is when patients have to be realistic that MORE treatments may be necessary when you want no downtime. (You can watch last night’s rant in my IG stories🤣🤣). She’s great and totally gets it!🙌

Eyelase:
under eye smoother, tighter, brighter, dark circles diminished.

Liplase:
Lips are a touch more supple and smoother. Vertical lip lines not as prominent. This is perfect for the patient that does not want lip filler, but has realistic expectations that the laser will deliver a MILD improvement in volume! You want an immediate WOW lip- you need lip filler.

✨Ok…so we only had 2 weeks to get her ready for an event and 4 syringes to play with!✨

At first, she said “can we do my lips again with one of the syringes?”. And, here is when you have to trust your provider to do what’s best given your anatomy, overall facial appearance, and budget.

Could her lips use a little more hydration? Sure. But, that’s not what jumped out at me. In fact, we needed to balance the rest of her facial features to better match with her lips. (Told her she could get away with a good lip liner and plumper and save $675 for now!🤣).

We added some volume to the mid face, masked some shadows, and left her with an overall refreshed and softer appearance. Many guests commented how great she looked and wanted to know how she manages to stay so well rested!

“Rested” is the best compliment you can get- no one could pinpoint a thing! The best filler is the undetectable filler! (Unlike a fair majority of my patients, she is very forthcoming and credits me versus others that just say “it’s a new cream I’m using!” 🤣🤌)

✨Turn that frown upside down✨

This is often a neglected area, but so rewarding when you treat it! I encourage my patients to incorporate this into their Dysport appointments, especially after 40.

Relaxing the muscles associated with frowning helps slow down the signs of aging in that area. Of course, there are other contributing factors like anatomy, volume loss, bone loss, etc. But, muscle strength and over activity play a role.

Most common complaints that patients will have are: mouth corners turning down, more pronounced jowling, mental crease forming - that curved line in between the lower lip and chin, “golf ball” or “orange peel” chin-dimples forming in the chin.

In her after pic, she is trying her hardest to frown.🤣 We froze those suckers good! No one needs to see you sad!😘

DAOs - I prefer to go a bit lateral and superficial for the superior and mid injection points and deeper inferiorly. Mentalis - deep injection and stay closer to the center of the muscle rather than lateral. I find these techniques helpful in avoiding the depressor labii inferioris which can lead to a crooked smile. 🥴 Don’t panic if it happens. It can be fixed and eventually it resolves on its own anyway.👏

⚡️Fotona Laser⚡️

A couple of treatments in and this is what we have so far…

Smoother and brighter under eyes and skin. If you are lucky to know her like I do, she will tell you how happy she is and how life changing this process has been for her. 💖

Fotona EyeLase/SmoothEye helps stimulate collagen and elastin. This in turn helps diminish the appearance of wrinkles, crows feet, and under eye “bags”. It is not a replacement for surgery, but it is a nice option for those looking to avoid going under the knife for now and with minimal downtime. A minimum of 4 sessions is recommended. Individual results vary. Maintenance is required, generally every 6 months.

Rosacea is a chronic skin condition, unfortunately. While we can’t cure it, we can help “tame” it. Treatments are recommended every 4-6 weeks depending on severity to prevent flares.

“You’re going to end up looking weird!”

Ok, Karen…..

(Nothing against the named Karens we do know! 🤣💖 But, if I had a dollar every time someone said that to me, I’d be retired…🏝️🍹☀️🌺)

✨Here are some tips for “Wellness Wednesday”✨
1. Doesn’t matter how many thousands of dollars you pump into your face- If your skin is poor in quality, texture, and pigment, it offsets all the work performed by a good injector. This is a case where what’s on the OUTSIDE does matter! What to do for your skin?-Medical grade skin care, spf, routine facials, peels, lasers, microneedling, etc.

2. If your injector looks “weird”, so will you. Find someone who will take care of your face like a rare and precious gem- the way it deserves to be treated.

3. If your injector has a weak portfolio, expect subpar results. (That often times comes with cheaper prices for those that like to bargain shop.)

4. When checking an injector’s before and afters, if they fill over “bad filler” and areas of migration, well…sending you lots of luck and love- my thoughts are with you.
