The Mission of the Northern Ohio ALS Project is threefold: 1) to create a universal protocol for the medical community to follow for early treatment and intervention of ALS, 2) to discover and eliminate the environmental factors triggering the disease. Evidence shows runoff from toxic dumping and agricultural fertilizers into waterways is triggering algae blooms that release toxic neurotoxins. We believe exposure to these neurotoxins may be responsible for triggering these ALS and other motor neuron disease clusters and 3) create and distribute a feature length documentary of Vincina’ s ALS journey and her legacy with Mike, titled, "The Vincina Protocol"..
