Luna Palankey-May, 10 year old beloved furbaby of Lynne Palankey May, passed away peacefully over the Rainbow Bridge on Friday January 16, 2026.
-
Cremation arrangements are under the care and supervision of the Paul G. Fink Funeral Home, Inc. 418 North Pittsburgh Street Connellsville, PA 15425.
-
"When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together...."

This shouldn't be something we have to make an announcement about, but here we are.
We have a dumpster for CONSTRUCTION debris and waste from the repairs we are having inside the funeral home.
We have had multiple calls today stating someone was throwing piles of trash into the dumpster.
We pay for this dumpster for our construction debris and have used multiple dumpsters throughout this ordeal since July when the fire happened - along with a budget we have set aside for this.
The dumpster goes from not being able to see trash, to it stacked above the fill line full today. Our construction workers aren't there today to be adding anything to dumpster.
We have footage of you doing this. This was recorded being done and multiple witnesses have come forward.
This dumpster is for commercial throw away from the fire. Not for typical weekly trash disposal. The company even states they do not take regular trash and if it is above the line they will not take it back too.
Authorities were notified and there is proof, both video stills and video. We also were made aware code enforcement has knowledge of this and where the trash came from.
If you are the person, which we are aware of who they are, please remove everything you placed in the dumpster and dispose of it PROPERLY.
We understand times are tough, we try to be understanding and as helpful as we can.
But this is disheartening.
We are sure there are people who think this is trivial, but when we pay thousands of dollars for these dumpsters, and what we are paying for isn't construction debris, but random trash that isn't even the funeral homes, its a punch to the gut.
We would help if we were asked or do what we could because we understand times are tough!

On this Martin Luther King Jr. Day, we reflect on Dr. King’s words: “Everyone can be great because everyone can serve.”

In funeral service, we live this truth every day—serving families with compassion, dignity, and care during life’s most difficult moments. Service is how we honor lives, support one another, and make a lasting difference. Today, and always, may we continue to serve with purpose and heart.

**PIMS offices are closed today in observance.**
