Today the Genealogy & Preservation Center celebrated National Library Outreach Day by joining the Montgomery County Historical Commission at the Montgomery Memorial Cemetery State Marker Dedication Ceremony honoring Texas State Representative J. Goldstein Dupree 1870-1873.

This past Friday, one of our Genealogy Assistants, Mavy, had the privilege of attending the Artist Talks, an inspiring conversation centered on the initiative to bring the stories of our Hispanic and Latino communities into the light. It was an honor to hear from local advocates as they discussed how art serves as a vital bridge, connecting us all to the diverse cultures that make Montgomery County thrive.

We invite you to join us in celebrating these voices and learning more about our neighbors through art. The individuals featured in the attached flyer will have their work on display, alongside many others who contributed to this project. We hope to see you there as we foster a more connected community together. Attached will be the “Recorrido Latino de Montgomery County” flyer that reflects all event information.
