Happy Easter! Today is a beautiful reminder of renewal, hope, and new beginnings. We’re especially grateful for the moments that bring comfort, connection, and compassion to those we serve. Today can bring Easter egg hunts, church service, sharing a warm smile and spending time with loved ones. These simple acts make today and every day meaningful. Wishing our residents, families, and team a joyous Easter filled with peace, gratitude, and the promise of brighter days ahead. 💛

Let’s all welcome April! 🌸 As the days grow brighter and the weather warms up, it’s the perfect time to enjoy simple moments with the people who matter most. Whether it’s sharing a meal, taking a walk, or just spending quality time together, this month brings so many chances to connect and create meaningful memories. April also reminds us to celebrate the little things—caring for our planet on Earth Day, honoring everyday heroes on National Superhero Day, and embracing the joy of new beginnings. Here’s to a month filled with kindness, gratitude, and moments that make us smile.

Did you know that according to the CDC, more than 1 in 3 Americans have prediabetes? This can raise the risk of stroke, heart disease, and Type 2 diabetes. Many people may not even know they have it, which is why awareness is so important. When someone is first diagnosed, checking blood sugar often is very important. It helps them learn how food, activity, stress, and even illness can affect their numbers. Over time, patterns may become easier to understand, but there are still some unexpected things that can cause blood sugar to go up.
Here are six surprising things that can raise blood sugar:
• Sunburn – Pain from a sunburn can cause stress in the body, which may raise blood sugar.
• Artificial sweeteners – Some studies show they may still affect blood sugar, even though they don’t contain sugar.
• Coffee – The caffeine in coffee can raise blood sugar for some people, even without adding sugar.
• Lack of sleep – Not getting enough rest, even for one night, can make it harder for the body to use insulin.
• Skipping breakfast – Missing your first meal can lead to higher blood sugar later in the day.
• Dehydration – Not drinking enough water can make blood sugar levels rise.
Small daily choices can make a big difference. Staying hydrated, eating balanced meals, getting enough rest, and keeping track of blood sugar levels can all help support better health.

Let’s Welcome March! This month brings many reasons to celebrate the little things that make life brighter. From National Day of Awesomeness, reminding us to appreciate everyday moments, to Social Work Month, where we recognize the compassion and dedication of our social workers who support our team, residents and families, March is all about kindness, connection, and gratitude. With St. Patrick’s Day bringing a little extra luck and fun on March 17, it’s the perfect time to share smiles, reach out to someone special, and enjoy simple moments together. If you like basketball, then this is your month with March Madness, pick up a new book since March is also National Reading Month. Let’s Share stories and recognize women who have made in impact on our lives this month. As we step into this new month, let’s continue uplifting one another, celebrating small joys, and taking time to care for ourselves and those around us.

We would like to wish everyone a very Happy Saint Patricks Day! We’re celebrating something truly special within our community: the gift of fellowship. It’s a time to come together, share smiles, stories, and moments that remind us we are never alone. In our facility, every conversation, every laugh, and every act of kindness creates a sense of belonging that means so much to our residents and team. Today, we’re grateful for the connections we build each day and the warmth of a community that feels like family.
