We are beyond proud to announce that Bliss Birth Center is now CABC Accredited!

From the very beginning, accreditation was always the goal. When we opened our doors, we dreamed of creating a birth center that met the highest national standards for safety, quality, and compassionate care. This journey took hard work, dedication, and an incredible team committed to doing things the right way.

This national accreditation represents the highest standards for birth center care!

With this milestone, Bliss becomes
the only accredited birth center in Greater Houston
and one of only five across Texas!

As you approach your due date, there are so many sweet things to choose…
your baby’s going-home outfit, the first swaddle, the tiny details you’ve been dreaming about. 🤍

At Bliss, you also get to choose the room where you’ll meet your baby!

We almost always only have one mom in labor at a time, which means your birth space is truly yours. Your music, your lighting, your people, your pace.

This beautiful mama is getting close to meeting her sweet baby in the Claire Room, and we can already picture the moment happening right here. ✨

And with tonight’s full pink moon… maybe we’ll even have matching pink lights glowing on Bliss to welcome this little one earthside. 🌕💗

We can’t wait to see this room filled with love, strength, and a brand new Bliss baby!

Look at all these beautiful Bliss babies 🩵

Our postpartum support group, The Afterglow, is always so soul-filling for me. What looks calm in this photo was actually full of snacks, stories, advice, laughter, toddlers running wild on the inflatable obstacle course, and more golf cart rides than I could count.

And when we weren’t ready for it to end, we kept the party going with lunch at a local restaurant. Because that’s what this group becomes… not just support, but real friendships.

These women, these babies, these moments… they’re all part of my soul ✨

Prenatal care looks a little different at Bliss 💛

You won’t find rushed 10-minute appointments where you barely remember your questions. Instead, we offer group prenatal care. You’ll meet with other women due around the same time, build real friendships, and actually have space to learn and be heard 👯‍♀️👯‍♀️

Each session includes a private visit with your midwife, followed by a facilitated group discussion. We talk through everything. Pregnancy. Labor. Birth. Postpartum. Newborn life. And all the questions in between and beyond!

And sometimes… if you’re lucky like our March group… you take the conversation on the road and do prenatal care from the Bliss golf cart. Because community, fresh air, and a little fun belong in prenatal care too 🏁✨

Mondays are for midwives 🤍

Every Monday our midwives and midwifery students come together to learn, collaborate, and grow. We review cases, share wisdom, ask questions, and support each other so we can better support the families we serve.

This time together matters. It strengthens our team, deepens our knowledge, and keeps our care thoughtful, intentional, and evidence based.

Because great birth care doesn’t happen by accident. It happens when a team is committed to learning… every single week.

As you get closer to the end of pregnancy, our focus shifts to comfort, confidence, and helping baby get into the best possible position for labor.

There is so much that can be done to support the birth you want long before you ever walk into your birth suite. Movement, positioning, relaxation, and learning how your body works together with your baby all make a difference.

And sometimes… that preparation looks like a little dance party 💃

Because preparing for birth doesn’t have to feel clinical. It can feel joyful, connected, and even fun!

With a major winter storm potentially affecting dozens of states, we recognize the concerns many have about stored milk.

Updated to add: A stand alone freezer will maintain temperature for 48 hours in a power outage if unopened. A freezer compartment within a fridge will maintain temperature for 24 hours if unopened.
