New Life Cancer Support Group

New Life Cancer Support Group We meet every 3rd Monday
at New Life Baptist Church NEW LIFE CANCER SUPPORT TEAM is a Community Outreach Ministry of New Life Baptist Church, of Converse, TX.

Led by cancer survivors, Drs. Jerry K. and Mary J. Riley, meetings are designed to offer inspiration, hope, and support from others whose lives have been touched by cancer in our community. A support team of: cancer survivors, caregivers, and friends who give the gift of their time to help the emotional and physical healing. Also, it is a time for fellowship and gathering of information. Monthly meetings are held the third Monday of each month at 7:00 PM, in the Rupp Building at New life Baptist Church, 101 North Street, Converse, TX 78109. Come join us as we gather around a bowl of popcorn and maybe have a brownie or two. We have special speakers and/or videos related to our topic of cancer. We would love to be a part of your life. Our support team model is:

Universal City passed the Smoke free ordinance and will be smoke free! Praise the Lord!

Universal City passed the Smoke free ordinance and will be smoke free! Praise the Lord!

TONIGHT the City Council of Universal City is scheduled to vote on a smoke-free ordinance that DOES NOT fully protect all workers and patrons in our community! They are considering an ordinance with loopholes for businesses with ventilation systems. The science is clear that ventilation systems are proven to not eliminate harmful effects of secondhand smoke.

In order to protect ALL workers and residents we must encourage the council to pass a comprehensive ordinance that makes ALL worksites smoke-free.
