October 10 is World Mental Health Day. It’s a global reminder: mental health is not a luxury—it’s essential. Stigma makes many suffer in silence. Let’s commit today to being more understanding, reaching out, and normalizing getting help. Your story matters, your wellness matters.

Here at UCA, you have access to mental health help in two ways. You can have short-term counseling through our EAP program, or the Community Care Clinic offers mental health counseling as well. Check out our website to learn more!

Today is National Depression Screening Day—an important chance to check in with ourselves and others. Depression is more than just ‘feeling down’; it’s persistent and can affect thinking, energy, appetite, sleep. If something’s off, speaking with a health professional or accessing campus mental health resources can make a meaningful difference.

Join us on October 23rd for our Seasonal Depression presentation to learn practical tools to support your mental health and well-being throughout the fall and winter months.
