Kimberly Combs recently completed the Day Services Tier Advancement Program and earned a promotion to Direct Support Professional I. with our organization. She is the first Direct Support Professional in Day Services to complete this program. Congratulations Kim! Continue to make an impact with our program consumers!

Employment Services at Ability Beyond Barriers includes working in group settings or mobile work crews, such as our program consumers in this photo taken recently at the Grand Strand Medical Center. Obtaining and sustaining competitive employment locally are service goals.

Did you know the International Day of Acceptance is held annually this month? On January 20th, inclusion, understanding and equal opportunities for disabled people will be promoted, along with celebrating these individuals' abilities! Per https://specialneedsresourceblog.com/, the late Annie Hopkins created this celebration to encourage acceptance of all disabilities and for disabled people to embrace who they are.
