One of the 2 topics for the month: πŸŽ€ breast cancer awareness πŸŽ€
It's time for those pink ribbons as an extra special reminder to:
🌟 honor those who lost the fight
🎁 contribute to research for finding a cure
πŸ«‚ help foundations that assist with treatment and medical costs
β€Όtake action by seeing your doctor for early screening and prevention 🩺

More people are surviving because the cancer is caught earlier along with improving treatments. Let's keep it up! πŸ™Œ
However, survivors often continue to deal with side effects after their cancer treatments are over. Both mental and physical issues can affect their quality of life.
Bowel and bladder changes as well as dyspareunia (pain with s*x) are troubling to anyone - but the good news is there is hope! πŸ’«
Pelvic floor physical therapists are specially trained to address the abdomen, hips, **pelvis and related body systems** to reduce pain and normalize function.
Your treatment is completely individual, your sp*ed, your goals. πŸ™‹
If you or someone you know could benefit from a free consultation, let me know via DM or email! πŸ“© I am often able to see you within the same week you reach out.
Keep following for the other monthly topic AND more on Breast Cancer Awareness! πŸŽ€

Sometimes cloudy days or life stresses catch up to us, and a little sunshine could do the trick!
Stress isn't inherently evil and it does in fact have its place in our bodies! However, a little sunshine from the inside can bring a much needed change when we are tired or overwhelmed. β˜€οΈ
Maybe you didn't want to get out of bed to do a task today, maybe you're exhausted from the first week of school, what if you've been sad and this dreary day is just too much? πŸ˜”
I'll tell you what was my small joy today: a patient made me laugh after she came back from the bathroom. Her hand was still wet from washing and we giggled about how silly it feels to try to explain when your hands are wet "but it's ok it's not p*e" πŸ˜‚
If that made you smile, drop an emoji in the comments! Even better, share a small joy you had today or are looking forward to later!
Mental health is as important as physical health, and while I'd love to help you on your pelvic floor healing journey, I also want you to remember that neither of us are robots. You and me, we're human, and we have other dimensions to ourselves that sometimes need attention. So if you need a laugh, a listening ear, a good workout to relieve tension, we can find that sunshine together.
Wishing you all to find a happy moment since it's Friday!! Thanks for reading 😊

Postpartum includes anyone who has delivered a child - whether a new parent, empty-nester, or someone who has experienced loss. The human body adapts and changes, and like many other things, may require gentle rehab to return to a satisfactory level of function. Most postpartum conditions have been accepted as "normal", such as leaking urine with jumping or pain with s*x.
BUT πŸ‘ THERE πŸ‘ IS πŸ‘ HOPE πŸ‘β
Pelvic floor physical therapy is an evidenced-based and researched treatment for many postpartum and pain conditions! Let's get you back to doing the things you love! 🀸
