My Girls, Inc. & Rockdale County Parks & Recreation Toy Giveaway was a success. We helped so many families, and we were able to bless more families after the event. I can’t say thank you enough to Toys for Tots, Rockdale County Parks & Recreation,
Johnson Park Recreation Center, volunteers, and to all of my amazing friends and family who helped to make this event a success. Merry Christmas!!!🎄

My Girls, Inc. was selected for Toys for Tots this year!!!🎉🎉🎉 It’s our first time applying, and we are elated to be approved so we can help families in need this holiday season because people are really having a hard time. Thanks to Rockdale County Parks & Recreation (Johnson Park Recreation Center) for partnering with us so we could have a place to have the Toy Giveaway!!!

We are still in need of toys for ages 0-14+ and volunteers, so if you have a heart or a helping hand, please donate ://www.paypal.com/US/fundraiser/charity/3631177. Also, if you would like to donate brand new unwrapped toys or volunteer your time, please contact me at 470-207-3374. No donation is too small, and all donations are tax deductible, as we are a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization.

We have received an overwhelming amount of registrations, 100+ to be exact, so we really need additional toys. Also, if you have been watching the local news, Toys for Tots has been experiencing a shortage of toys, so I pray our scheduled pickup with them will be fulfilled. Thanks to all the families who’ve registered. However, if you didn’t register and we have toys left, we will accommodate walk-ins on a first-come, first-served basis.

Yesterday I had such a fabulous time at the GPSN Georgia Chapters Christmas Party!!! 🎄🎁 I felt so good seeing all of my friends who in my eyes are family. The food, desserts, laughs, and conversations were everything. Thanks to GPSN Anna, Sue Smith and Kisha Whitfield for putting this amazing Christmas party together for us. Also, thanks for the beautiful gifts and for recognizing the hard work we do. I can’t believe we are almost to the end of 2025 and our last events for the year. Merry Christmas🎄& Happy New Year🥳!!! This past week we had a time at the beautiful Atlanta Evergreen Lakeside Resort learning, laughing, networking, and fellowshipping! It’s nothing like being with all my peers.❤️ I didn’t get an opportunity to take a picture with all of them. However, I got a chance to hug and talk with them. To put the icing on the cake my dear friend Sonja Felton won the innovator award🏆!!! I nominated her, and I’m so glad she won and she’s being recognized for the awesome work she is doing. Dana McCrary/DBHDD this was a phenomenal conference, thank you!!!

Good morning! It’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month. 1 in 8 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer; that’s too high. Today I had to get a diagnostic mammogram and an ultrasound due to the symptoms I’ve been experiencing. Thankfully, the radiologist said my mammogram and ultrasound were both normal! However, she’s requesting that I get an MRI of my breasts due to the symptoms. I’m praying 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾 that all is well. I have a family history of cancer on my mother’s side and my father’s side, so I don’t play around with getting my annual mammograms and additional screenings when needed. Ladies, please get your annual mammograms, pay attention to your bodies, do your monthly self-breast examinations, report your family history to your doctor, reduce your alcohol intake, exercise, eat healthier, don’t smoke, reduce stress, and practice self-care.
