God is so funny. 😄
Today is what the airport world calls Black Sunday — the busiest travel day of the entire year.
If you left for Thanksgiving last Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday, or even on Thanksgiving Day… chances are you came back today. For a little over six years, I worked these Sundays because it was the biggest day of the year. One year the Falcons played New Orleans and I even gave up my tickets because I had to be at the airport on Black Sunday.
And listen — that 6+ year run was amazing. It served me well, taught me a lot, and blessed me in ways I didn’t even realize at the time.
But here’s the part that makes me laugh…
My contract ended October 1. And who would’ve known that today, on Black Sunday, God would send me back into the airport — but this time as a passenger, not as staff.
Tell me God doesn’t have a sense of humor. 😂🙌🏽
And let me say this:
My body feels AMAZING.
Those 12-hour shifts every week were a little insane, but that contract was temporary and it served its purpose. The whole time I kept saying, “Let me catch this money while it’s raining,” and trust me… it rained good. 💰🌧️
These days, you can find me two days a week at one of the busiest truck stops in Georgia — Petro — doing DOT physicals and drug testing.
Because when one door closes, God doesn’t just open another — He opens a bigger one, puts a doorman at it, and hands me the extra keys just in case they try to lock me out. 😉
And on the other days, we’re changing lives over at my Conyers office.
Now I’m stepping into something better… something lighter… something aligned.
I’m entering the best stage of my life, and I’m so grateful.
Thank you, God.
For the shift.
For the timing.
For the elevation. Taking flight!!!
