Active Aging Week Fun! Yesterday at the Care Center, we celebrated Active Aging Week with a focus on Physical Wellness! Our theme for the day was Sports Attire, and everyone showed up in their favorite team gear, ready to move!

We got active and had a blast with a friendly game of bowling — lots of laughter, smiles, and even a few strikes! Staying active keeps us strong, happy, and connected.

Hat Day Fun at Cook Care Center!

Sharing some photos from Wednesday, when we we celebrated Active Aging Week with our “Hat Day” theme — and what a blast it was! Residents and staff showed off their creativity with all kinds of hats — from silly to stylish!

Our focus was on Professional & Vocational Wellness — learning how using our unique skills and talents in meaningful ways can boost happiness and fulfillment. Residents shared great ideas and had fun brainstorming activities that help them grow, learn, and give back!

Here’s to staying active, engaged, and full of life — one hat at a time!

Active Aging Week continues here at the Care Center, with today's focus on Social Wellness.

Residents enjoyed a group dice game and shared in Memories though songs from Eric Pederson.

ATTN: We are pleased to announce that this year’s statewide Resident Quality of Life Surveys and Family Satisfaction Surveys will begin soon!

These surveys are from the Minnesota Department of Human Services (MDHS) and provide an opportunity for residents & families to let us know how we are doing!

We will be sharing more information directly with families and residents soon.

We are celebrating "Active Aging Week" in the Care Center this week.

Yesterday (Monday Oct 6th), the focus was Emotional Wellness.

To bring attention to Emotional Wellness, staff & residents had a mismatch day, completed a gratitude activity, and some creative arts by painting.

Last week was "County Fair Week" at the Care Center, with a great lineup of activities and visits from loved ones and furry friends alike.

🌽 Monday - Crop/Seed Art crafts
🫏Tuesday - a visit from Cook's Country Connection
🎩 Wednesday - we had a Magic Show (it was so good we forgot to take pictures!)
🌭Thursday - our annual Family BBQ

So many thanks to those who helped, visited, and otherwise contributed to making last week so special for our residents.

We're grateful the weather held up for a few more days outside, especially as we start moving into the colder months!
