THANK YOU to all who joined us for our annual Christmas Party at the Care Center. Our afternoon was filled with a lineup of activities, warmth, and laughter:

🎅 Photos & story time with Santa
🎁 Gifts were delivered to the residents
❄️ Gingerbread house contest & voting
🎼 Music & caroling with the Pedersons
.. not to mention hot chocolate, cookies, potica, and more.

A special thank you to the Activities team, who go above and beyond to make each day a special one for our residents.

Big Woods Transportation so graciously brought us around Mt. Iron this week so our residents could look at houses decorated in Christmas Lights.

As might be expected, there was caroling on the bus, and we especially appreciated our bus driver, Natalie, who embraced the festive occasion with her nose and antlers.

A joy-filled afternoon 🎁 the halls of Cook Hospital & Care Center are filled with smiles, laughter, and impromptu caroling as the residents embark on a Cocoa & Cheer Delivery.

All in all, a very fun afternoon adventure to spread some Christmas Cheer.

Active Aging Week Fun! Yesterday at the Care Center, we celebrated Active Aging Week with a focus on Physical Wellness! Our theme for the day was Sports Attire, and everyone showed up in their favorite team gear, ready to move!

We got active and had a blast with a friendly game of bowling — lots of laughter, smiles, and even a few strikes! Staying active keeps us strong, happy, and connected.

Hat Day Fun at Cook Care Center!

Sharing some photos from Wednesday, when we we celebrated Active Aging Week with our “Hat Day” theme — and what a blast it was! Residents and staff showed off their creativity with all kinds of hats — from silly to stylish!

Our focus was on Professional & Vocational Wellness — learning how using our unique skills and talents in meaningful ways can boost happiness and fulfillment. Residents shared great ideas and had fun brainstorming activities that help them grow, learn, and give back!

Here’s to staying active, engaged, and full of life — one hat at a time!
