A great local resource for those in need of food - and an easy way to directly support our community members, for those who are looking for ways to donate.

Trinity Lutheran Church is now offering a Free Pantry in a corner of the main entryway of the church, near the temporary location of the Cook Library. It is available during Cook Library Hours (Tu - Th from 9 am-4 pm) and whenever the church is open. Take what you need and leave what you can.

Happy National Radiologic Technology Week!

National Radiologic Technology Week® is an annual event that honors the essential contributions of medical imaging and radiation therapy professionals to patient care and health care safety.

Fun fact: This week-long celebration occurs during the week of Nov. 8 to mark the anniversary of Wilhelm Conrad Roentgen's discovery of the x-ray on Nov. 8, 1895.

📢 NEW SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT: Pain management services have officially arrived at Cook Hospital.

We're honored to offer a brand new pain management clinic in partnership with Community Memorial Hospital in Cloquet.

This is a huge step and allows our community residents and visitors to have local access to pain injections and cutting edge treatment options to manage a variety of conditions, such as:

- Back pain
- Neck pain
- Joint pain
- Chronic headaches
- Hot flashes / perimenopause
- Loss of taste/smell due to COVID
- PTSD (Post traumatic stress disorder)

Note: A referral from your physician is required.

New position: we're looking for a dedicated Infection Preventionist / Environmental Services Manager to join our team.

Position Summary:

The Infection Preventionist/EVS Manager is responsible for leading infection prevention and environmental services across the Cook Hospital & Care Center.

This dual role ensures a safe and sanitary environment for patients, residents, staff, and visitors by overseeing infection surveillance, prevention, and control programs, as well as managing housekeeping and laundry operations.

The position works collaboratively with all departments to reduce the risk of infection, ensure regulatory compliance, and promote high standards of cleanliness and quality care.
