Holden Qi gong Cert. Myofascial Release, by John F. This technique could help you!

Barnes, PT, is a highly effective stretching and deep tissue release technique. This is not your typical "massage" or "quick thrust" manipulation. The technique is a very gentle but prolonged hold stretch or light pressure over areas of tightness in the connective tissues, called "fascia". The fascia is 70% water, collagen, and components that create scar tissue. It is arranged in a 3 dimensional "spider web" that surrounds and is the environment of every cell of the body. The "fascia web" is what gives us our structure, shape, and provides shock absorption for trauma. Over time, the fascia takes forces from various traumas and grows stiff, dehydrated, and "stuck". This limits movement, causes changes in posture and mechanics of joints, and causes pressure of 2000 lbs per square inch on structures in the body. Patients who have chronic pain conditions such as fibromyalgia, scoliosis "curved spine", torticollis "stiff rotated neck", and history of severe injuries such as falls, whiplash, or surgeries, benefit greatly from MFR treatment. If you have tried traditional physical therapy, chiropractic, or massage techniques and received minimal or only temporary benefit, you may have fascial restrictions. Please contact me for more information or to set up an appointment. I have a variety of places where I can work with you to accomodate your scheduling needs.

Hi guys I’m embarking on an exciting new endeavor. Myofunctional therapy includes exercise protocols that help with breathing and tongue mobility and strength. Most people don’t realize we are supposed to be keeping the mouth closed and tongue resting on the palate, nasal breathing full time!

I’m treating babies with difficulty latching, tight tongue and lip tissues, and torticollis or plagiocephaly with arching and pulling off the breast.

Through my journey of treating people with MFR and craniosacral therapy I have discovered how tongue and midline fascial thickness contributes to so many problems we experience. Such as sleep apnea, swallowing and choking or gagging, tongue thrust and palate elevation causing difficulty breathing through the nose.

I am so excited to bring this work into my practice. However as a 1 woman show in my business, I have to make room in my schedule. So moving forward I am not taking adult bodywork or orthopedic clients.

I am primarily accepting babies and kids who are possibly needing tongue tie release procedures or palate expansion or mouth breathing problems. Babies having difficulty feeding are high priority.

Thanks for allowing me to serve you for your bodywork and mfr needs over the years. I’m glad to help you find providers that can help you if I am not able to get you into my schedule.
